Here is what "a peaceful stand against hate" looks like

Why does it descend so quickly into an impotent red-faced rant about "snowflakes".

Have you saw the clip of them attacking the vet in the wheelchair?
|
At this point I don't care if it's a violent stand against hate!
Anyway it's basically Communists v Fascists. Both can rot in hell as far as I care. |
There is nothing to suggest that those people with their faces covered are antifa is there?
Perspective. |
Everyone knows Antifa and BLM are just violent thugs, but it's good to see some media acknowledgement.

You can tell they were antifa, they stopped when the black bloke intervened.

You have no proof these militia clad people were antifa, none. |

The thing was, no-one was opposing them. There were no other protesters, no police, no bankers for them to be 'oppressed' by, yet still they had to smash and destroy. Thugs, pure and simple. |
I no more support Antifa than the militant Right. If anything, I see Antifa as the enemy that will drive people away from Left wing politics.
The problem is authoritarianism. It doesn’t matter if you are Left or Right because any authoritarianism is a problem. Most of us who sit to the Left are social libertarians, not authoritarians. Most people who sit to the Right are moderate libertarians, not authoritarians. Antifa are a fringe that are wrong in principle, just like the militant Right are wrong in principle. Neither deserves our protection or defense. For me at least, Antifa are an enemy of the Left and are a major gift to the militant Right who are much bigger and have a more overall brutal ideology. |
