Diane Abbot says "nigga bitch" LIVE on GMB
|
Poor GMB viewers. Imagine seeing that in your mentions on twitter every time you logo on.
Yes, she's a horrible woman and shouldn't be anywhere near the frontbench or represent Labour in the media, but that doesn't excuse the online abuse she receives. |
"Riley. says "***** bitch" LIVE on TiBB"
Horrible. |
How is ***** not censored? :umm2:

Well how ironic, we were just discussing on another thread how reportage can't be given a 'slant' and this is an excellent example.
Ignore the abuse she has suffered and focus on the fact she repeated a word on breakfast telly....pffft! |

Sigh. She was reporting some of the language used against her, not using the language against anyone else. There's a difference. The fact that so many people don't seem to realise that there's a difference, is a problem.
Fair enough she should possibly have considered the time of day it would be broadcast, but that's about all. Also, lets be honest, the idea that there are "children watching GMB" is a bit of a ****ing stretch isn't it. |
It's no secret that I can't be doing with Diane Abbot, but in this case I can't see a problem with what she said, in the context that she said it.
If people are so offended by simply hearing what she said that she has to put up with then maybe they should take a moment to think of how upsetting it must be to have this insulting racist language personally directed at you. As to GMB and the way they handled it, all I can say is don't try and have a serious interview with anybody that can't give a full and honest description of what is happening to them. |
I don't understand? Was it also bleeped out in the original broadcast?
I don't see the problem at all. Super snowflakey reaction. |

Why have her on pre watershed? What did they think an interview in relation to online abuse was going to consist of in all seriousness? Maybe have an important and sensitive subject discussed when it can be addressed adequately. It literally makes me sick the way that this level of abuse is sidelined simply because they have a dislike for Diane Abbot, should it be any other black celebrity or publicly recognisable figure and there would be uproar at this level of abuse. I say good on her! I hope now it is looked at more seriousness, nobody should have to tolerate that or be expected to. Look what happened to Jo Cox, every day she is living with a level of anxiety knowing and being told she will be the target of attacks in which her life is at risk... And yet she can't express what makes her so fearful? I would go as far as to say that the slant in the way this has been addressed in the mail is abuse in itself as it totally ignores the key issue. |
I doubt she knew where she was tbh
|
I like her she was only saying it because it's what she had been called. Instead of attacking her call out the bastards who say it to her imo
|
good for her just saying these things, instead of being very fake acting to come over nice :hee:
|
Also she does realise that this is what the trolls want? She's probably going to get loads more of these tweets now that people are seeing she's saying this stuff on TV, especially people that want to sabotage her career. Watch her abuse grow 10 fold now, not that she deserves that, she doesn't, however adding fuel to the fire is her own fault.
|
She is a bitch though.
|
Surprised she has the time for twitter..ahould she not be working instead.
