Reverse sexism?
Paul Flynn was lambasted a Labour MP for saying “sensible women” were needed in the Brexit talks instead of “macho men”
He conceded his comments might be sexist but said “macho posturing” was not helping the UK leave the European Union. Speaking on talkRADIO, host Ms Hartley-Brewer challenged the statement and asked how men and women differed in negotiations. Asked how he thought Brexit talks were going in Brussels, Mr Flynn said: “I hate to be sexist but if you want to get a solution in a position like this you don’t send in butch macho males to do it. "You send in sensible women who are prepared to compromise. If that’s a sexist argument I’m a sexist." |
There's no such thing as "reverse sexism". It's just sexism, whoever it's from or toward.

Doesn't take a genius to work out that he has a valid point?

Though I wouldn't call any of the involved MPs "macho".

To be honest I think the amount of sexism that females have to deal with on a daily basis kinda makes this one instance towards men look minuscule.
But I do agree equality is a two-way thing and it doesn't always result that way. |
Hail! A pale stale male tale fail.

It sounds like the kind of thing Emily Thornberry would say, but I've never actually heard that phrase until this thread.

I can't see how what he said is even sexist.
:joker: Seriously though i think a good mix of both is needed. Some estrogen to dilute all that testosterone abit |
