People who can sleep all day in bed...

I'm a light sleeper and sometimes just get a few hours a night.

But I know people who can go to bed at 10pm, and sleep right through till 1pm the next day (that's 13 hours) without waking up once. Not even to go to the toilet.

Another guy I know, he's about 12 years older than me, and he can sleep all day and night. I told me he was 20 hours in bed asleep without waking up once.

I said, 'Gawd, you must have been bursting for the lav.':joker: He said, no.

I'd hate to be like that. These people are sleeping their lives away.

How much sleep do you get? Thanks.

yeah, sometimes i sleep about 6 or 7 hours, if i'm too stressed at night for my sports or reality show faves :worry:

Underscore 23-09-2017 10:33 AM

8-10 hours normally.

When I came back from Mexico at Christmas I slept from 10pm to 6pm ops

mainly because of time difference and I didn't manage to sleep on the plane

and i stayed up the next day

smudgie 23-09-2017 10:53 AM

Varies, normally cat nap through the night, 20 minutes to anywhere up to three hours.
If I get 3 good hours sleep a night then I am doing well.
I normally fall asleep when I should be getting up.

jaxie 23-09-2017 03:04 PM

7 hours with one or two wee breaks.

Eddie. 23-09-2017 03:29 PM

on Weekdays, I sleep for like 7 hours normally because of school...
on Weekends, I sleep in till like 12pm...unless there's service for me to attend...

Withano 23-09-2017 03:34 PM

I probably average at 8.. little more when I work from home, little less when I work elsewhere. Dont like to feck up my body clock on weekends too much, me being ill would be the only reason I'd stay there 9hours+

mizzy25 23-09-2017 04:05 PM

lucky if I get 3 before waking for the loo. if I do get a good night of about 5 to 6 im usually shattered

Adamw92 23-09-2017 04:13 PM

My sleeping pattern varies. Some nights I could sleep for maybe 10 hours, others I struggle to sleep for 5 or 6.

Ashley. 23-09-2017 04:25 PM

A good night for me is 5-6 hours

AnnieK 23-09-2017 05:08 PM

I usually get around 6 hours a night. Cant lie in any more....if I sleep past 7.30 on a weekend its a serious lie in xxx

Drew. 23-09-2017 05:26 PM

Could easily sleep 12 hours a night, i struggle on less than 8. Usually get between 8-10

Amy Jade 23-09-2017 05:30 PM

I usually only get about 5 hours sleep, if I have any more I wake up feeling like crap.

_baileys_ 23-09-2017 06:19 PM

gosh I miss those days of sleeping so long without waking up with the need to pee! old age is brutal..lol

waterhog 23-09-2017 10:38 PM

hi brunt - great post and interesting - light sleeper here and need very little. I get annoyed that when I read my poetry and people full into a comma and they take ages to wake up but I glad to say they all say it was not the poem I was reading.

when asked if I should do them a poem on getter better they tell me they will call me and I must not bother them till they do. I later find they have moved

Marsh. 23-09-2017 10:41 PM

10pm til 1pm is 15 hours.

Marsh. 23-09-2017 10:43 PM

The longest I've slept is like 16 hours but I've woken up once or twice in-between.

And I was catching up from having pulled an all nighter during uni.

But, in general, sleeping that long on a regular basis is weird.

But some people work differently. My nan used to function on as little as 3-4 hours a night.

caprimint 24-09-2017 05:12 PM

I know so many people who can do this, I just don't get it.

I sleep on average about 6hrs a night, if I oversleep then I can't sleep the next night and it's just awful getting up and down and feeling restless.

Oliver_W 24-09-2017 06:52 PM

Even when I wasn't working I couldn't sleep past like 9.30

My normal sleep, work or not, is like between 11pm-1am to 7-9am

waterhog 24-09-2017 09:03 PM

I find many of them in Highgate and they are always below the poetry - I say for god sake if you want to sleep go and find a bench

waterhog 24-09-2017 09:03 PM

I reported them to MB security :fist:

joeysteele 24-09-2017 10:23 PM

Usually settle down around midnight and sleep for solid 6 hours.
That's really all I've ever seemed to need.
