do different types of alcohol change how you are when you’re drunk

i’m not asking if it’s possible bc i know this is definitely the case for me (even different brands seem to have different effects bc i only drink lager now)

but yeah when i drink red stripe i just want to listen to fiona apple and order pizza but when i drink grolsch i want to argue with people and suck jake’s toes

Wine makes me a RAGING slag

Dark fruits make me a bloated tired mess

Lager/cider makes me a likeable funny chick who listens to music and gossips and eats takeaways

Me the first time I had a shandy from the corner shop

RileyH 26-09-2017 08:27 PM

no I just get drunk and the same thing happens each time

Daniel-X 26-09-2017 08:30 PM

But no I'm the same drunk whatever I have. Can't stand lairy or emotional drunks, thank goodness I'm neither myself.

I will say that though that if I get drunk spirits I tend to forget things even happened the day after, whereas I don't get that if I get drunk on cider or wine.

Wine gets me sassy
Vodka gets me slutty
Sambuca gets me obnoxious
Alcopops gets me lairy somehow

Never got drunk off anything else I dont think.. beer/cider gets me bloated before drunk

Ugh I just remembered when I did ten black Sambuca shots at the pub in Feb and threw up down the alleyway, thanks for reminding me you tart.

Oliver_W 26-09-2017 08:46 PM

Beer makes me just kinda happy
Vodka makes me aggressive
Wine makes me sleepy

Cider, especially strongbow dark fruits, tends to make me sleepy, which is never good if you're not planning on drinking more, as it is easy to get that buzz after a few more. However, I could never stay on cider, or pints for that matter, the whole night as it fills your stomach right up. I'm usually at my happiest drunken state when I'm drinking JD.

Amy Jade 27-09-2017 12:29 AM

Gin makes me cry when if I get drunk off it and if I do shots of Wray I get really dramatic, apparently, but its so strong I literally become a zombie if I drink more than 2 shots.

Other than that I am a happy drunk apparently.

Underscore 27-09-2017 06:23 AM

Wine makes me depressed.

Anything else makes me as buoyant as a balloon.

Crimson Dynamo 27-09-2017 07:07 AM

alcohol is one chemical and the different drinks are only different strengths of that chemical

beer 5%

wine 12%

spirits 40%

all that changes is flavourings so unless you are reacting to a specific flavouring or sugar level then its just placebo
