applying online for provisional driving licence

How do you do the photo if you apply online

Smithy 26-09-2017 09:44 PM

You need to go have the picture taken in a photo booth or something

I don't have one :bawling::bawling:

If you have a passport they can get a verified picture from that. If not you're stuck with post / getting the photos countersigned and verified and all that crap.

Daniel-X 26-09-2017 10:24 PM

Just do it by post, it's much easier and straight forward.

Learning to drive is honestly vile anyway take it from me, I've got my theory in two weeks and I couldn't be less excited. Just hoping I pass so I can book my practical and get the whole thing over and done with.

My driving teacher was evil so I got a new one and she's a LEGEND!! Want to be best pals with her. Hate the actual driving part mind you 🤔

They now accept phone pictures for passports and driving licence but you need to get someone else to take it. You need to be against a white background 1.5m away from the camera.

I've just checked about photo signatures though and if you don't have a passport or an ID card, it doesn't look like its possible.

I really wish this had been the case when we got them for the kids 3 years ago. Ever try getting a viable passport photo of a non-verbal 2 year old in a photo booth? £16!!! :fist:

:shocked: :smug: :hee: D:
:cheer2: :wavey: :spin: :bouncy:
:tongue: :yuk: :hmph: :oh:
:amazed: :xyxwave: :facepalm: :omgno:

Pretty much sums it up.

Being able to write in English beyond a 4-year-old level might help.
