Streaming in the (album) charts
What’s yall opinion on it? Streaming in the charts in general too I guess
In the US this week the #2 album is predicted to sell LESS than 1,000 copies but because of streaming, its SPS is at ~50k Should streaming be allowed in the album chart when it’s already included in the singles chart, especially in cases like this where the single is literally selling the album |
no because the charts are literally supposed to a ranking of who sold most so
it’s just a mess |
No. I'm completely against streaming being involved in charts full stop.
As Scott said, it's supposed to be a reflection of who sold the most. |
I think there should just be two separate charts, a sales chart and a streaming chart, converting streams to sales just to merge them into one seems pointless to me. It's made the charts a mess and less meaningful than they used to be.

Streaming should be included, charts should represent the most popular music whether it's been bought, downloaded or streamed

It stops people like Pink getting deserved #1

a reason for her not being the #1 but i want honest and fair charts, not just a popularity contest anymore, the charts have become so predictable and boring :( |
No lol it’s ridiculous

They should do 10k streams = 1 sale

P!nk has sold way more then her and been in Itunes top 3 for 8 straight weeks
|
it's sad that actual sales are drying, but you have to adopt to the future, pop girlies need to find some way of targeting music on streaming services instead
|
Streaming charts and sales charts should be two different things. And people will only be interested in one of them.

It's about sales, not listens. Otherwise radio play would factor in. :fist: |
