When did you feel BB was getting tired?

Basically when did you start to lose interest in BB? :hee:

I think the BB16 launch was the first one I'd not really been excited for, then BB17's I was because of the great build up and then this year for BB18 I genuinely couldn't have given a **** because the promo was so atrocious

I think I'm over it now, I watch it out of loyalty and nothing else

Channel 5 running 3 series a year, and a celebrity series straight after a regular series has probably tired it out a bit.

Bear and Coleen winning was the final straw for me. I don't really get as invested in it as I used to.

RichardG 11-10-2017 12:40 PM

bb11, then bb15 onwards

caprimint 11-10-2017 12:44 PM

BB16. I missed the first few weeks then started watching, then the next two never kept my attention. After Lotan wrongly being ejected I'm just meh about it now (and over the years other instances like these have annoyed me).

Blame Ross

Probably from BB15 onwards

Jake. 11-10-2017 01:15 PM

But then I really enjoyed BB17/18 tbf

Jordan. 11-10-2017 01:17 PM

BB11 when they started the messy editing and more outside contact

I decided to give up on BB after BB8 but someone convinced me to watch BB10 because their friend was in it so I kind of got hooked again, BB11 was awful though but I decided to watch BB12 out of curiosity as to how C5 would handle it

Jamie89 11-10-2017 01:28 PM

I stopped watching when it ended on ch4 but had been getting bored of it from BB10. I then watched the speidi cbb from about a week into it because I saw a clip of them on YT and it looked good, and then started watching properly again from CBB14 (although I didn't watch the most recent BB/CBB)
Honestly I think it's been tired since the ch4 days and that isn't likely to change, like any show it has a shelf life.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't in the slightest bit excited in the lead up to BB13. Then, I was old school level of excited for BB14 because it had such a huge amount of promo and change, had optimistic feelings about BB15, wasn't bothered at all by BB16, quite excited for BB17 and optimistic for BB18. It was tired years ago, I'm just too big a fan to drop it yet.

Daniel. 11-10-2017 01:39 PM

I guess BB15 was last one I was excited for

It's been tired since mid way BB7 though

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 11-10-2017 02:43 PM

ever since i started watching it :skull: BB6 was my first series and i remember thinking that the previous series seemed more exciting lol

y.winter 11-10-2017 03:04 PM

I think around two years ago, with 4in4out.
Though my experience is a little bit different as I started watching BB only in 2011 and since then I've been watching almost every old series in between the C5 ones - so I kind of overdid it in a 6 years time.

Marsh. 11-10-2017 03:23 PM

BB10.

I remember sitting watching the launch thinking wow, this format is so tired. The show and the launch itself was so lifeless.

Then BB11 had some more hype around it for supposedly being the last one.

The last time I was excited for a series was BB14 with all the changes and promo and then after that it's been 4 years of crap.

MTVN 11-10-2017 05:23 PM

I still enjoy BB whenever I watch it so neither the show nor the format is tired for me it's more just a case that now I'm older/working full time I just can't keep up with most series enough to get properly invested in. The series I most enjoyed were BB12, BB13 and BB14 mainly because I was a student then with nothing to do half the time so could easily watch every ep, catch up whenever I missed one and spend ages talking about the show on here

_baileys_ 11-10-2017 05:54 PM

when BB left C4 and we lost Davina & Dermy & live feed and it moved to C5 show couldn't ever be the same...

but the people changed over time too from good variety of characters we now have endless chav / fake from head to toe/ nothing going on between their ears types etc

Jason. 11-10-2017 06:05 PM

BB10.

Pretty much what Marsh said. You could tell it was when the show began to feel stale, no one was talking about it anymore and it all just felt so flat and unexciting.

Even BB8 and 9 still had some hype surrounding them.

BB13/14 restored my interest, but it's waned ever since BB16. The only series I've watched fully since is CBB19. I think I'm just over it at this point.

Cal. 11-10-2017 06:21 PM

CBB20 was the first series since I got back into it a few years ago which I didn't really watch or have an interest in.

looper007 11-12-2017 07:49 AM

second half of BB7, I think once the twists, bringing back in Housemates who were voted out and Golden Tickets just took the fun out of what BB really was.

BB8 really for me was the final nail in the coffin for it's peak years. Too many fake romances, Housemates over acting, that all female start was rubbish and BB8 never recovered. That's when i fell out of love with BB sadly.

BB10 got me somewhat back on board but by then Channel 4 and Davina clearly didn't care for the show.

BB1 up to BB 7 first half is the BB i loved.
