How many times did it take you to pass your theory/practical driving tests?
I'm deflated today because I failed my theory by one mark on the hazard perception, did anyone else have to resit or did they pass first time?
|
I failed by one mark the first time as well! Was fuming. Passed a couple of weeks later by one mark lmao

I passed both first time but it's not unusual to fail first time, don't give up

Imagine I passed that hazard perception test when I didnt even work out they were cartoon animations til like q10. I'm the least perceptive person ever!
There was a few times I thought they were gonna fail me on a question because I clicked quite often, but they didn't, they were quite lenient. Press it more often next time is my advice. |
I failed theory by three marks, then passed second time.
Passed practical first time. |

Most of my 'hazards' were shoddy last second indicating/***** cutting me up/people legging it across the road.. so keep an eye out for those.

In my defence there were bloody hazards all over the damn place. :nono: |
I failed on the question on the theory because I forgot about the test and didn't revise
|
Failed by a couple of marks on theory first time, but passed the second, I’m glad we didn’t have to do hazard perception, I feel like I’d have failed that big time :joker:
|
Didn't have to take a theory test when I learned to drive, they just asked you a few questions at the end from the highway code. Everyone always said if they asked you motorway questions you'd passed. That was not true as I found out, got asked motorway questions and got giddy....then the examiner said "im sorry blah blah blah". Gutted. Passed second time
|
Passed theory first time and passed the practical third time
|
Passed both first time

its basic common sense, how can you fail?
|
Theory two times, practical six times :skull:

I kind of agree that the theory test is pretty much common sense, other than road signs... but really, there are only a handful of those you have to learn because most of them are pretty self-explanatory. I think a lot of fails are down to over-thinking the questions actually... the obvious answer will be the right one . And half of the questions are like "YOU SEE SOMEONE BLEEDING PROFUSELY!! What do you do? A) Call an ambulance and elevate bleeding limbs, B) Laugh and drive away, C) Set them on fire, they're a goner anywayz."
The hazard perception, I think people fail because they haven't been told the "trick" to scoring high on it, and think if they start clicking more than once it'll take points off. Multiple clicks doesn't remove points, only clicking over and over will fail you for a section. So, best thing to do is to click as soon as you see something you think MIGHT be a hazard, and then click again when that thing is DEFINITELY a hazard. You can even throw in a 3rd for luck if it becomes a super-obvious hazard. I got almost full marks on the hazard perception, even after missing half of one segment because my mind had totally wandered off :joker:. I was sat thinking about what to have for dinner . |
Pasts all mine on the first go. We have 4 in Australia
