iDEA is a programme that helps you develop digital and enterprise skills for free. Through our series of online challenges and events, you can win career-enhancing badges, unlock new opportunities and, ultimately, gain industry recognised awards that help you stand out from the crowd.

Discover skills you never knew you had and hone the ones you've already got by taking our online challenges. The challenges are split into four main categories, each with its own series of badges to be won - citizen, worker, maker and entrepreneur. As well as being fun, these badges will help you show off what you've learned and could, when the time comes, help you land the job you want.

When you've taken enough badges in each of the categories, you can gain the iDEA Bronze Award - a recognised symbol of your hard work, determination and skill. In time, you'll be able to take new challenges and badges that will unlock a Silver Award (from 2018) and then, the ultimate prize, the iDEA Gold Award (from 2019). iDEA aspires to be the digital and enterprise equivalent of The Duke of Edinburgh Award.
For anyone interested, I've just taken this up and it's great that it's all online. Great to add it your CV as well!

Good for you, Riley. This kind of thing does look great on your CV. My niece has just finished the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award and is starting on the silver and she's really loved it. I hope this award takes off in the same way the DofE Awards did.

I've had some news about it which I can't quite share yet, but let's just say I might be meeting royalty next week...
