Wedding Favours

What type of favours have you received at weddings you've attended?

Babayaro. 01-11-2017 02:57 PM

Someone did the dishes and put the bins out for me :p :D

Marsh. 01-11-2017 02:59 PM

The option to not attend.

See, things like that I have no idea why many of the guests would want to keep something like that.

The couple themselves, and possibly immediate family, yes. But outside of that it's largely a souvenir that goes straight in the bin or gets broken that one Christmas when it falls out of the cupboard as you forgot it was there.

I haven't been to many but the cutest I ever got was a lady from work, a little wooden fridge magnet with their names, the wedding date and a thank you on it. So so pretty, not sure where it is or I would take a picture.

My niece had this poem and she has bits that were in the poem, all made up in a bag, will have to try and find the poem otherwise this story means nothing...

Mr C's nephew had old fashioned teacups and jars of biscuits on the table, his now wife got the tea cups from charity shops they were lovely and we got to take the cup and saucer home as a keepsake.

Oh I like that idea

We all got toys when we were kids at a cousin's wedding. I think mine was a football or something. Ew.

My auntie wanted to have goldfish centrepieces and then have everybody take one home afterwards but I don't think she did it in the end (I hope not anyway) but I never went to the wedding.

How kind of you LT. :smug:

Most weddings I've been to you got a free glass of champagne on the way into the sit down meal mid-afternoon, along with the paid for three-course meal. But then buy all of the rest of your own drinks.

Then you might get another free glass at the entrance to the night do.
