Predict: Which 3 teams will England draw in the group stages of 2018's WC?
 

The pots are thus:

Pot 1 - Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France
Pot 3 - Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal and Iran
Pot 4 - Serbia, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Panama, South Korea, Saudi Arabia

(If' you're interested, Pot 2, which contains England, also contains: Spain, Peru, Switzerland, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Croatia)

When picking your three predictions, remember this:
- We can only be drawn against ONE other European nation
- We can only be drawn against ONE nation from each of the other federations (South America, North/Central America, Africa and Asia)... so it's not possible for us to get, for example, Morocco AND Egypt. But entirely possible to get Panama and Egypt.

The draw takes place on December 1 so there's not TOO long to predict :spin2:

Argentina, Senegal, Japan

Brazil, Sweden and South Korea

Belgium Sweden Nigeria

Although I no nothing about and don't watch football

also know nothing about following that 'one team from Europe' rule :idc:

Argentina (Gotta be either them or Germany I bet)
Iceland (For karmas sake)
Australia (For no reason either them or Japan)

Russia, iceland and Panama.

Russia so that there is some fighting with the locals,
Iceland to work their magic again, and
Panama for a laugh

Which 3 would suit England´s style of play the best? :think:

I'd imagine the ideal group would be Russia, Tunisia and Panama.
Some of the Pot 1 teams are going to be incredibly lucky, though. Imagine getting Peru, Senegal and Saudi Arabia, or Switzerland, Tunisia and Australia.

yeah, it kind of annoys me as once a team gets seeded it automatically improves its chances of progressing, which boosts its ranking in future competitions and qualifiers. Once on the gravy train, it's difficult to fall off. I don't think its a very fair system. It may be slightly better if there was only 1 seeded pool, but only just.

Me, Lucas, Locke & bitontheslide managed to get 1 prediction right, this went very well indeed

I can't believe the USA didn't make it. :( This is Croatia's year though :clap1: (aside from being born in the US my family background is mostly Croatian so let's gooo)
