A messy uncomfortable BB house?

Would you like the housemates to walk into a messy and uncomfortable house this time?

A house where beds are unmade, chairs and tables are all over the place. Dust everywhere.

A total and utter unclean & smelly squallid:yuk::yuk:

Just as the new housemates are so excited and come walking down those stairs, expecting to have a great time.

Right in front of him, just before he or she opens the door to enter the house, there is a big broom, brush and pan, a bucket of water and a scrubbing brush and disinfectant and a pair of overalls.

Right next to that, there is an envelope and inside the envelope, there are instructions on what the housemate must do immediately

1) Clean the rooms

2) Make the beds

3) Hoover the carpets or Lino/Tiles

4) Clean the dirty toilet

5) Empty the bins

6) Disinfect any smelly area, where grime and filth is evident

7) Repair broken furniture with tools provided

8) Clear up any other mess found

9) Tidy up

10) Start, the second you walk through the door and wear your overalls until the work is done.

Sorry but I like to see the house finished when Davina does the tour

to decorate the big brothers house would be any designers dream, i doubt they will ruin their opportunity to create an amazing interior design. and it doesnt seem to go with this years theme.. i think the house will be very colorful this year...

Arneldo 09-05-2007 05:36 PM

I wouldn't like that tbh.

What i would like though is to see the housemates walk into an empty house with no furniture. No sofa's, no beds, no tables, no pillows, no dairy room chair, no dining table, also no pool, no shower and no hot water and alcohol and luxury food. The next day in a return to the Saturday night tasks the housemates would have to win all of the above items.

Cody™ 09-05-2007 05:37 PM

thats a cool idea actually ^ :D

I think this year BB is dropping the "evil" and Twisted" themes

Captain.Remy 09-05-2007 05:39 PM

I think the launch nigt twist could be about the house.
Housemates go in, all the doors are locked, Big brother gives to them the first task. The bedroom is not finished, no paint on the walls, and no beds. The pool area is not aloud to the housemate until they finish the bedroom. During 2 days, the housemates have to build the beds and paint the bedroom. Only at this moment, Big Brother opens the pool area to the housemates.

JOSHUAH! 09-05-2007 05:40 PM

that happend on Big Brother Australia on series. They had to earn beds, sofa's, tables, chairs. They only had a BBQ and stuff in the garden.

I dont like this idea aswell, I like seeing Davina touring a nice house, if it was clean at the start, it wouldnt look any better at the end, cause it never does!!
I imagine a colourful house this year but still un comfortable.

nodisharmony 09-05-2007 05:41 PM

The Big Brother house could be made to look fantastic and as comfortable as ever.

Davina McCall could show us around the BB house and we can see how lovely it looks.

But then, a special team of people could go into the house and mess up the beds, move furniture around and turn it upside-down, then bring in dust and dirt and mess it all up until it looks like a tip.

Everything that could make the house beautiful again, could be made available, "Like I said", but the Housemates would have to spend all day and maybe longer, clearing up the mess.

It would really be a drastic change and a horrific thing for all the housemates to have to do, when they all expect luxury.

Take away the luxury, until they do the work.

The biggest clean-up operation ever.

That Sounds Awesome, that means it still get decorated but they get a chance of personalising it.

Big Brother 2 Australia springs to mine lol.

BBUK cant copy BBAU, never ever ever.

Matt 09-05-2007 05:59 PM

it should be BBAU that copies BBUK :)

I for one would like the house to be complete on launch night. It will be nice for Davina to do the tour in a completed house.

Scarlett. 09-05-2007 06:01 PM

maybe a ugly house though?

Callum 09-05-2007 06:02 PM

No, I wouldnt really like that prefer the house to have all the mod-cons, and different colours etc etc. Didn't really like the BB2 over in Aussie, it was a bit OTT having no furniture!

I love this idea

nodisharmony 09-05-2007 06:07 PM

The Housemates wouldn't be very happy when they are faced with a filthy dirty house that they have to start cleaning.

But it would be a team effort and altogether, it shouldn't take more than a day.

But, if they do this, they will really have to bring in loads of dust, dirt and rubbish and all sorts of stuff. Make them work and shock everyone, right from the off.

I imagine that it would be a shock to everyone

But, why not mix things?

Yeah I love your idea nodish, but I think it's impossible lol

Nothing's impossible Remy:wink:

But I agree, it is unlikely. However, there will be many twists and turns, but what exactly?

It's an interesting idea, but I think there's already plenty to view on launch night what with new HMs entering the house, them having to speak to each other and get to know each other. Although I suppose something like that would bring them all together straightaway, and allow us to see pretty much straightaway their personalities - however it doesn't allow them to settle in. Maybe some sort of minor task like that would be an idea! But for the moment it's nice to see the house as it's meant to be on launch night.

BIG-BRO-FAN 09-05-2007 07:38 PM

Sorry I dont like the sound of this at all. :spin:

Work and talk at the same time:bigsmile:

these housemates are getting too lazy and too comfortable. Get them working straight away. Spoil it for them and make them mad.

Give the housemates brooms and brushes that are badly put together and make it harder.

A great first day for cleaning up and making them very tired.

Rory 09-05-2007 08:28 PM

I'd hate for that to happen.

The housemates can dirty it themselves.

I think that this idea is very unlikely and probably would be offputting by many, but certainly a shock start to the show.

But we all debate about "what if's" and this is one of them.

I think the Housemates keep the house pretty clean anyway. Surely, if there was a messy housemate who doesn't want to clean up at all. It would go against them.
