Marcel told me: “Put me in a ballroom with millions of people watching me dance and I’m going to be a wreck.

“Put me in a house full of people and I’ll be cool.

“I could top Kenzie on Celebrity Big Brother.”

But Marcel has sympathy for Amir Khan and his unlikely fear of snakes on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

He quipped: “The paranoia of being asleep and a snake actually running across your toes – imagine that? Or when they drop the creepy crawlies in – no-one wants that.”

This week Marcel returns as Rocky B, his Blazin’ Squad alter ego for gigs in London.

He said: “It’s nice to be doing this big show with the boys to pay homage to where I came from, and also to give back to the fans as well.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve been together, we’ve got an acoustic part of the show which is sick.”

Marcel spurned recording with Love Island pals Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes in the summer because he wants to do his own thing.

He added: “I want to put out something that I’ve created and am fully passionate about rather than do something that’s a novelty to make a quick buck.”
