Are Nazis just always acceptable cannon fodder?

I just watched all 4 parts of the CW-DC-Stuff "Crisis on Earth X" crossover from this week (which was actually really good btw), and this genuinely amused me...

So, since S1 of Arrow which was criticised as a "murder spree", these shows rarely have the heroes killing people... they pretty much save it for very high stakes / big villains etc. and henchmen are left with broken bones, concussions and bleeding limbs in true superhero style. But with all of the powers flying around in this crossover, that was going to be difficult to pull off.

Solution: They made Earth X full of Nazis - an alternate timeline where Germany won WW2 and everyone is a full on card-carrying SS genocidal supremacist. And I swear to god the body count has to be in the thousands :joker:. They're getting shot, blown up, burned and shot full of arrows right left and center.

Because it's Nazis! The only answer can be that it's always OK to kill Nazis?

Nazis don't exist anymore, so they're on par with other terrors from the past when it comes to fair game.

I'm not asking is it OK to kill Nazis, obvz it is, the question is do they count as "non-human" for characters who "Don't Kill Humans", such as Green Arrow (after season 1 where he killed pretty much everyone), The Flash, etc.

Like they don't kill humans EXCEPT Nazi henchmen who they kill without blinking...

tbf though the "Legends Of Tomorrow" seem to kill quite a lot of people so they're exempt from this question.

I watched the first two episodes tonight and didn't think it was too OTT aside from Alex pretty much murdering about 15 people in two shots but then she's always been a character that's kills when she's needed to.
