They know as is screamingly obvious that this govt has no intention of raising living standards to allow any social mobility.

In a resignation speech from Alan Milburn this was stated..
'“does not seem to have the necessary bandwidth to ensure the rhetoric of healing social division is matched with the reality.'

In other words... she lied. Nothing is right and nothing is fair, she needs to go!

The only paper who has changed the story to something unrecognizable is the Daily Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-resigns.html and surprise, surprise, they have blocked anyone from making comments!

This was mentioned on the news today but it was pointed out that this group was at the end of a period of service anyway and were about to be replaced. It sounded more like sour grapes resignations because they were being replaced.

That sounds more like it.

All these contracts regularly have to be re-aplied for. That doesn't mean they are being replaced. Its just the way the government works.

Is anyone surprised? The Tories only pretend to care about anyone outside their own classes when it comes to convincing gullible people to vote against their own interests. They've got their votes from the working class, they don't care about trying to do anything for them until the next election when they'll make more false promises and cover them up with stoking people's hatred by blaming immigrants for everything and promising to curb immigration.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....

Modern politics and the propaganda surrounding the way the government want us to think is to only think about ourselves and our own needs. If we find others in need we should therefore assume that the situation is their own doing.

This, and I'd say the effect is even more nefarious; people believe this so strongly that when they find THEMSELVES in need, they assume it must be their own doing, down to their own failings, not being good enough, "failing at life". And the resulting damage to confidence and self-esteem just becomes a downwards spiral.

It can be that people remain after a completion of set period.

This strikes me more that since the criticism of govt by the mixed political group here, it is more likely Mrs May wants a set of people,shall we say, more in the govts pocket and one not as critical.

Yes... it sounds like it could be that cynical. Of course there are more people on the breadline. It didn't happen yesterday, it's been building for a while and yet, this is the first I've heard from the Social Mobility Team. Why IS that? Why wait until you're at the end of your lucrative contract to speak up and then walk away? Oh... I've just answered my own question.

Really? All the analytics about education and integration were done by the tooth fairy? Without social mobility teams, we wouldn't know how to forecast any upward or downward social trends and if we couldn't forecast those trends, we couldn't fight to keep democracy.

And now May's team are gone. First there were 10. bit by bit they were picked off. The four that were left were expected to pull all the right bells and whistles, that's why they were on short contracts and regularly had to re-apply for their position. From where I'm sitting, they reached their next re-application process and all said "**** it", we'd be of better use elsewhere.

How telling though... where have the tories cut and cut and cut? And yet we are meant to believe they want to raise living standards?...pffft!
