Would CBB and BB be MUCH better if they had an Ant and Dec?

So IAC is brilliant and major popular because of Ant and Dec. They knit it together beautifully and dont take it too seriously (witness last night where they straight up called Amir and the other bloke IDIOTS because yes, they are grade A Morons.

So is the reason that CBB and BB is so bad because they have sweet but unfunny and untalented Emma presenting it and presenting it in the wrong way

Look at Come Dine with Me - what would it be like without the comedy gold narration?

....What do you think, does BB need a presenter make-over to a more sarcastic Ant and Dec style?

It'd probably be more successful yeah because people only watch I'm A Celebrity for Ant & Dec's links and how they take the piss out of the contestants etc but Big Brother has always worked fine and I'd say Davina presenting BB is just as iconic in British television culture as Ant & Dec presenting IAC is. Emma is a great successor to Davina and Big Brother very much has become a cult show due to it's various controversies and changing channels etc so it doesn't really need that. The fans that always watch will always watch and that's it really.

Yeah that would be amazing but they wouldn't touch it lets be real here

Emma actually calls them out in their interviews

Crimson Dynamo 08-12-2017 09:34 AM

no i mean someone like ant and dec but in that type of format they use

They would need to do tougher interviews though, you can get away with fluffy interviews in IAC but not in BB

Eddie. 08-12-2017 10:16 AM

Nah. Never liked the idea of having two hosts in BB...

No. Having presenters pop-up every couple of minutes to tell jokes would be awful and wearing, and even further away from the original format.

That, plus tasks involving people getting covered in bugs and jungle creatures is all IAC amounts to, from what I can see.

montblanc 08-12-2017 01:41 PM

no

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 08-12-2017 02:33 PM

no

caprimint 08-12-2017 02:41 PM

They'd make great presenters for the show, if Rylan can do the interviews then I'm here for it

supertv247 08-12-2017 03:04 PM

IMO they wouldn't fit the show at all, and Emma (and Davina) are definitely best for it.

Morgan. 08-12-2017 03:13 PM

"PLEASE WELCOME YOUR HOOOSTS ... ANT AND DECCCC"

Yeah no it's not gonna work.

Emma asks the questions we want the answers to, not "did you enjoy it" or "was it difficult"

BBUKfan88 08-12-2017 07:33 PM

No i dont think so, i personally find them annoying. I know they are super popular but i dont think they would fit this show.

Jordan. 08-12-2017 07:38 PM

A tragic concept

joeysteele 08-12-2017 07:38 PM

Actually they are getting on my nerves.
They are just there in your face too much on shows.

They are funny at times but please no,not another programme for them to almost take over.

Not for me anyway.

Jase. 08-12-2017 07:39 PM

The thing with A&D is they don't call out ****ty behaviour. Emma does. So the interviews would be insufferable.

Strictly Jake 08-12-2017 07:52 PM

No definitely not I'm a celebrity is quite light hearted so ant and Dec suit that although they have annoyed me this series that Dennis wise gag got really irritating

That kind of humour just wouldn't fit bb I love Emma!

And people seem to criticise Emma for this? Which is bizarre. The interview with Dennis last night was boring and had me shaking my fist at the screen that they weren't picking up on his awful behaviour.

Emma, on the other hand, isn't afraid to tackle the awful behaviour and ask them about it in interviews, and I'll never get why people don't like that?
I'm a Katie Hopkins stan (don't kill me! I'm not proud to say it) and I enjoyed her exit interview, even though it's arguably the most biased one Emma has given (she said Hopkins frustrates her when she watches her on telly in the interview, made her thoughts quite clear) and I don't think there's anything wrong with "bias". Hopkins was far from an angel as possible in what she says and it would just be awful to have those 5/6 minutes spent talking about how Hopkins struggled with rations and being away from home!
