Town shops don't open until 10am

I know it's Christmas Eve and shops usually close a bit early in the afternoon, but still...

All shops in my town open at 10am. Even the newsagent is closed.:fist:

I went out early this morning, expecting they'd open at 9am, or even earlier for the late festive shoppers. But no. The amount of people I saw reading the notices on the shop windows, 'open at 10am'.

Unless those people go back, the amount of business these shops have lost. Madness.:fist:

Indeed, but I won't be going back to the shop I was originally going to. They've lost my custom. :D

Well, it's not right. They should have been open at 8.30am.

And while we're about it, I noticed shops normally closed on SUNDAY, are open on Christmas Eve. Work that one out. :p

You should have seen the people going up to the doors and finding they wouldn't open. I reckon these shops lost a bank full of money.

Wow, I just went to Tesco to find out it opens at 11am for browsing and you're not allowed to buy anything until 12pm

You should have gotten everything you needed earlier and not leave it till last minute.

afternoon brunt. in my experience this will have no effect whats so ever as people will go home and come back on opening time fill up car or bags go home up pack and go again and once more later to make sure they have enough for the big day causing real busy times in the shop. half the food is then thrown away as it goes off and they have bought way to much and to top icing the shops will go out on boxing day again shopping. but in the back of the mind is recycling and saving earth - but all fail to see the waste they have caused. just saying. could be a poem in this statement :joker:
