Tesco faces anger over 'rancid' Christmas turkeys
https://news.sky.com/story/tesco-fac...rkeys-11185871
[Britain's biggest supermarket apologised to customers who complained on social media and in a statement said it would investigate after a "small number of complaints in recent days". A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency told Sky News it was aware of the coverage of the controversy and that it would be "looking into" the matter and "considering next steps".] Thats a shame |

The Tesco I worked for was terrible when it came to food standards. Rotting fruit and veg was a regular occurrence because most workers wouldn't order them properly on the shelves and the storage facilities in the back were awful. The Tesco up the road is pretty good though. I'm guessing these turkeys came from a store or depot that had a similar attitude to the shop I worked in.

Wonder if the supplier was 2sisters? Mind you as bad as they are the scandal would have been over several supermarkets if it were. Tesco are dire haven't shopped there since the infected horsemeat fiasco :/

stock control seems to be a issue in lots of supermarket with goods with shorter dates being pushed to the back, they need training :idc: I hate Tesco as a shop anyway and never go there. |
id like to see some journalistic evidence on this non story
