Why was Kemal evicted over Orlaith?

This has always boggled my mind ever since the first time watching BB6. Her narrowly surviving against Science I can understand since his attitude was amped up in that week and was getting harder to live with, and he was dominating the HL shows and was much more argumentative and obnoxious than before (even though it's still one of the most disappointing eviction results ever).

But then she survives over Kemal too and I just don't understand why. All he had against him was that he was getting more paranoid and stressful against Makosi and who she might be. But surely that would help Kemal since the public were turning against Makosi not too long before this, wouldn't it? Was his anxious over-thinking worries about Makosi really reason enough for people to spend money on him? And Orlaith had such little following too and most of the audience were getting pretty sick of her by this point too. I know it was a close 51%-49% result but how did this happen in the first place?

SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE

was iconic  and I may have liked her more than Kemal :p

Probably because he bitched about her a lot and was seen as Derek's ally. On top of that, Science fans would want him to go.

VTS didn't exist for civilian BB till BB7.
Considering both of the votes with Science and Kemal had like a 1% difference in between them, I think it was because both had the same amount of fans in their fanbases, same can be said with Science. Though Orlaith should have went in the Day 57 eviction to begin with.

Nah, I'd say more people disliked Kemal and were willig to pay to evict him, he had far more fans than Orlaith but tactical public voting didnt really seem to exist until recently.

It's because the audience were already told that Orlaith would walk if she survived the eviction. Of course, nobody was willing to pay to evict her when they could just as easily get rid of her for free.

And it got even worse when she walked like one day after the eviction. :fist:
She could've walked before and save Kemal, if she wasn't keen on staying anyway.

Science was the best bigbrother housemate in my opinion

I loved Kemal and Orlaith but the week leading up to their eviction Derek had been unreasonable with Orlaith, she was pretty much isolated and Kemal was seen with Derek quite a lot attacking her. I found it quite hard to watch, she was miserable and she probably thought after Science went her stay would get a little easier but Derek hated her.
