Ann and Amanda said people look to be offended but are they right?
They both said that people especially ones on social media will find offence in anything these days but do you agree?
Of course they are right
Pretty much yeah. But that doesn't mean there aren't people who are deliberately offensive.
They are right....but were discussing women at the time...not people/ men.
I think alot of that goes on in social media definitely that doesn't mean people can't be actually offended anymore though at the same time
A lot of people do, I think. Everything seems to be some kind of ism or phobia to some people
the problem arises when people who are offended think anyone cares
yes they are right
They're right
To an extent, it's true. You do get people that look for reasons to be offended but like Ann said, people are entitled to their offence. It's just a shame that the people who go looking for it tend to pull focus onto themselves instead of things that are worth getting offended over. It also allows for other people to downplay incidents of discrimination or inequality by saying 'pfft, they're just looking for reasons to get upset'.

People seem pretty offended by the CBB theme as well :oh:
I dont think they look to be offended (in the conventional sense of the word 'look'). I think people are just starting to live online. That includes people who desperately try and be offensive for attention, and the people who take offence anyway and give them that attention. If they all live online, they will bump into each other.
Like, I can guarantee that out there on the internet somewhere in the last 5 minutes, someone said something blatantly racist. I don't think theres anyone searching for posts like these, people just bump into them.
