Can you love someone as a housemate but hate them as a person?
 

I know some people generally hate celebs before they enter for what they said or done in the past but is it possible to love someone as a housemate but hate them as a person?

People incorrectly thought Bear was a great housemate

of course you can, no one is perfect either so there is that

Craig Coates is the perfect example. Fantastic housemate but absolute horror of a person.

Yes. I usually love the arseholes tbh. I am often saying I love watching them but would hate living with them :laugh:

Maybe some people can, I definitely can't though

With examples like Craig, Derek, Kim etc I genuinely do just like them :worry: part of what makes me support a HM is if I find them funny even if they are abrasive. So if I don't like someone it means I don't enjoy them as a housemate... Even if they hog airtime.

Bear is not a nice person, c'mon

And Lotan, for that matter

yeah but usually I hate them at the time and like them as a HM in hindsight :laugh:

I didn't watch Bears series but I loved Perez aswell, I think I loved him so much though because I disliked Katie Hopkins so much and he was her nemesis

I loved Katie Hopkins but she is a truly vile women

Other classic examples that spring to mind are Derek Laud, Pete Burns, and John McCririck, none of which were especially 'nice'

The only example I can think of is Perez, I loved watching him in the house but I would’ve hated to have had to live with him.

perez and bear are just plain arseholes

there is no debate and they are not funny or entertaining

i actually think Maggie & Rachel are very lovely people, i just feel like they are not the type what is good for CBB :shrug:

Depends how extreme they are. People who celebrate the likes of Helen and Conor like to cite how much they contributed but they're just too loathsome to be enjoyed in any way whatsoever.

I would end up smacking the likes of Perez and The Woo Woo but they were great housemates.
