Anyone else hate being formally greeted?

Ie. being called Mr/Miss/Ms/Mrs (or any other title) followed by your surname?

Call me my first name please!

Denver 10-01-2018 01:51 PM

Depends on the context

They tend to do that when you are in court:bawling:

Well it depends. If it's work and I am expected to address someone formally, I would insist on the courtesy being returned. Out of work... nah, first names.

Right mr smith time for me examine your prostate or right johnny time for me to examine your prostate.

RichardG 10-01-2018 02:05 PM

i mix between formal and first name all the time at work, depending on whether the customer has a hard to pronounce first or surname.

caprimint 10-01-2018 02:17 PM

Yeah I don't like it at all, just call me by my first name pls and that's it

Babayaro. 10-01-2018 02:42 PM

I've never been greeted formally in my life

Oliver_W 10-01-2018 03:44 PM

"MR JACKSON IS MY FATHER, M'KAY"

I work in a school so I'm used to my "formal name".

Crimson Dynamo 10-01-2018 04:13 PM

My children call me Mr Dad

First name terms with most of my doctors, nurses etc.
I do call them doctor though, out of respect.

Scott is an exception to the rule of 'daddy' being banned

Calderyon 10-01-2018 05:18 PM
