BB8 forum layout
 

Hiya,

Just a quick survey type post to see what you would like the Big Brother 8 forum layout to be during the series.

- Would you rather have separate sub forums for each contestant, or just have a 'Contestants' forum.

- Do you want to see Virtual Nominations back?

- Do you want a Tasks forum, or would you rather see task discussion in the main BB8 forum

- Any other things/forums you'd like to see BB8 related?

- How do you prefer seeing live updates? Last year we had a live update thread. Did you use/read this?

The forum during BB8 is going to be pretty popular I imagine this year. I am trying to look at the best solution to prevent a) clogged forums, b) repeated topics - and at the same time not isolating all the posts to different forums where its harder to keep up with whats going on.

I'm sure we will find a way where we can please everyone, but if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see during BB8, let us know here!

"todays posts" will show all the lates threads so sub forums are ok imo

I really liked the separate forums we had for house mates during BB6. They might be a little more work for us in the admin team but they keep all the like and dislike house mate x in one place.

Virtual nomination are part of the history of TiBB and we certainly shouldn't drop them this year. They are fun and make an interesting read.

Having a live topic has worked well over the years I say lets keep that too. It a useful thread to read to catch-up as long as the people posting are descriptive about what is going on and are not using it for cheap one liners.

Finally can we have a BB News section like we had in the past. It a nice place to keep all the news articles.

I always think the "BB posts only" link is a good way of keeping up with what is going on. I don't think we will ever avoid repeated topics but best way is by using sub-forums and explaining the rules on how to use them over and over again.

Can you explain what a "love topic" is please? Remember I am a TIBB virgin during BB! :spin2:

I'd like a day to day live thread so its easier to read.

Yeah, a day to day thread would be better. It'll be easier to see updates from that day.

Yeah, I think they call it Fan Updates. So members can post updates live.

Yeah, it is.
It's well layed out as well.

- Do you want to see Virtual Nominations back? - Yeah, they were great during BB6 but i don't think they lasted during BB7.

- Do you want a Tasks forum, or would you rather see task discussion in the main BB8 forum? - It should be kept to the BB8 forum, having too many forums for different things will complicate it too much.

- Any other things/forums you'd like to see BB8 related? - Nah, just don't add too many forums. Add enough, the ones suggested ^^ but not too many.

- How do you prefer seeing live updates? Last year we had a live update thread. Did you use/read this? Yeah, a thread is handy. It's easy enough to find out where you are upto with the dates, no big hardship.

i hope you dont make it to much - so it all over the place - because its better when it nice and simple
