I haven't really noticed it tbh... I will observe more closely. I like Rachel, I even like her relationship with Ann.

I've noticed it and like the relationship too. It's unexpected but seems real.

I've never cared for Daniel and sorry for this but I have felt Rachel is a big disappointment in the house.

Ha..yes i was going to call the thread the odd couple..i think she calms daniel down, and i think he likes his quieter times so is drawn to her...are they close age wise?

Hopefully we see more of it now after daniels admission.

I don't think they are close age-wise. I would guess he's in his 30s and she is in her 50s? It is an odd friendship but, from what he said about her in the diary room, it is genuine and they have become very close. I hope we see more of it.

I think there is more depth to Daniel than people give him credit for - we have definitely seen different layers to his personality.

I had no idea he felt that way, it was nice to hear that side of him.

There must be a friendship between them or he wouldn't have said it like that.

We are not seeing their friendship much in the edit, because the edit concentrates more on arguments, romance, controversy etc

Hopefully we will get to see more of them now.

I think it's a genuine friendship - I like them both :D They need to start showing Daniel as a kind, level headed human being not just his 'debatably-funny quips'.
