It's in the background and it feels like a 30 minutes long recorded laugh and American camp theatrical comedy. I guess there's a reason why it belongs to the past?

Only for Karen, also Jack can be quite funny too.

I find Grace a pull down on this programme,not funny at all.

It just sounded and looked quite outdated, bigger than life acting. From what I've watched it felt like "haha those gays!", and maybe it was fine on the nineties, but I believe comedy has more to offer these days?
And well, American sitcoms are mostly bad imo

It was only broadcast in the 90's for like 18 months though it debuted in 1998 and ran till 2006.

It's meant to be over the top I love how it hasn't changed tbh and still makes references to topics going on in the world right now...it's by no means outdated.
