Its not really a thing that exists in social groups. Like who was actually the last person who saw themselves as an alpha who was unanimously respected by everybody else in BB? I dont think its ever happened? Its more of an ape-thing which is why characters like Lotan probably saw himself as one, but even he can be destroyed by a single sentence.

Usually the most attractive guy and girl get together and form an alpha power couple

An alpha would be someone who is respected as the group leader. I cant think if one example in BB history. Humans dont want a leader in a social setting.

one of the alphas usually commands the cooking and as that has been thrown on its head this year, no one has been able to claim it. Rachel had a valiant attempt at being the alpha female, but she was never going to succeed

There isnt a hint of an alpha male this year where people usually try until they get laughed at.

The Ann who was literally just nominated is respected by the group?

yes, nominations is a construct and not innate - so the young weak ones will club together in that situation to try and topple the alpha
