“Original Social Experiment Back”

In last nights show when they were talking about auditions they said “the original social experiment is back this summer”, and gave me the feeling they’ll actually go back to basics? Thoughts?

They've said this every year since 2016 and it doesn't change.

do you remember when they said for BB17 the game is changing and the game actually didn't change.

Jordi I admire your optimism but you've really got to stop taking everything they say so literally  The show died a long time ago it's never going back to how it was.

I think they'll try it but it'll be boring and there will be no arguments so they'll have to put in other Hms and twists so people stop calling it a dull series

Remember when they said that BB18 was going to represent all parts of Britain and just chucked in a load of Z list reality stars

Nicky91 21-01-2018 12:55 PM

back to basics :flutter:

"Back to basics" is not at all where they should be going with this... BB needs to move forward NOT backwards... That said a return to some of the fundamental principals that were once sacred in the BB world would be a great start... Another refreshing change would be if the producers stopped trying to make BB in to other reality shows and focused some attention back on what made BB special in the first place...

I think by "original social experiment" they meant the show itself, not the new series.

Yeah this

Bring back the veg patch, chickens, full self-sufficiency and housemates with no celebrity/reality TV connections.

Yea but I'll think they'll try harder and then need to mix it up and go back to 2015 styles of messing to sort it

Vicky. 21-01-2018 08:19 PM

I thought this when I heard it yesterday..I do hope its all natural and totally back to basics (maybe even the chickens and thr mangle :D) but I cannot see C5 sticking with it at all. Which is sad as I do think that if they stopped meddling, older fans may come back. Another must is not selecting the housemates via agents. Normal ****ing people please.

Oaker 21-01-2018 08:21 PM

Back to Basics would be a snooze unless they got REALLY lucky with the cast, and considering C5's track record I doubt that would happen.

Ant. 21-01-2018 10:25 PM

I got an email saying just that :laugh2: I thought my college was a decade slow but no they're really advertising it as that? :skull:

Hopefully this is true but knowing Channel 5...

reece(: 22-01-2018 06:50 AM

Haha and the Other House which only lasted for 2 weeks.

andybigbro 22-01-2018 03:29 PM

They’ve said this sort of thing before and it never happens.

They really need to watch clips on YouTube from channel 4 days and take note.
