Lets discuss Waynes comment

It seems some people are hell bent on wanting to believe Ann is against Gays, because when the when the two boys said to her they would show their fake love to her she said 'that's disgusting' and Wayne sleep also said it,but Ann is getting all the flack, why? is this about politics or CBB ? I have asked in various threads and no response about Waynes comment which is weird as he is a gay man himself, imo Anns response was because she does not like public displays of affection as a lot of people don't, so why is it ok for Wayne to say it and not Ann ?

Livia 23-01-2018 11:49 AM

Because you can say anything you like about her... she's old, she's cranky, she's out of touch, she's a bigot because she's a Christian, she's not entitled to her own views if they clash with someone else's...

Just over fifty years ago you could go to prison for being gay in this country, Now you can marry the person you love and it is against the law to discriminate against you. And yet we've still got to have a witch hunt and try to pick something out of Ann's conversation to say she's a homophobe. If there was a devout Muslim in there, or even a Jew, people would be worried about banging on about the gay thing for fear of offence. Not so with Christians though... even when they've made it clear they are not anti-gay, but they are anti-gay marriage.

Like Kazanne said, Wayne said it too. But we'll just draw a veil over that because it doesn't fit with the agenda.

yeah, people hold ann to a different standard than they do wayne or anyone else in the house

Kazanne 23-01-2018 11:56 AM

Got a feeling this will be a quiet thread:hehe::laugh:

LOL.... ah well, the most important and intelligent FMs have already posted. Arguing the point of the thread would mean discontinuing the witch-hunt.

MTVN 23-01-2018 12:01 PM

When did Wayne say it?

joeysteele 23-01-2018 12:03 PM

I'm not that interested in Wayne Sleep, for me he has been disappointing.
His thoughts are equally wrong.
She was asked a direct question re gay love, not marriage.

She didn't answer with,if it's genuine. she was fine with that.
She answered it was disgusting.

Support her homophobic views all you like.
Thankfully I never will.
She's an intelligent woman who knows how to phrase and approach issues.
Her mask fell last night.

The ageism card is rubbish too,Amanda is 82 but hasn't those views.
Utter tripe.
No justification for Ann's comment only the fact it comes from religious bigotry.

I'd imagine 99.9% of the circumstantial evidence there is her voting record in Parliament, rather than a throwaway comment about Andrew/Shane sharing a bed.

Which she explained in the house and was not booted out for homophobia once her explanation was given.....shes only voted thrice in parliament...once to stop the age being reduced from 18 to 16....once to stop gayness being part of the school carriculum and once to stop gay marraige...all worthy and understandable considering her religious beliefs:shrug:

Shaun 23-01-2018 12:51 PM

And religious beliefs = nutjob! Sorry!

Well I don't think it has a place in Politics that's for sure, it gets in the way of equality.

Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Theresa May ... all religious fanatics compared to the average person in the street and all got to be PM

Kazanne 23-01-2018 01:00 PM

Nice to see the comment by Wayne side lined again.

I'm religious and proud to be a 'nutjob'

bots 23-01-2018 01:02 PM

is Wayne religious? I know Shane L is and perhaps Malika too? as they were in that prayer meeting. Reason i bring it up is because Ann now seems to be getting targetted because she is religious, and she isn't alone in that in the house

I'm not saying that religious people shouldn't be politicians what I'm saying is if they vote according to their religious beliefs instead separating their job from their personal religious beliefs then they shouldn't be politicians
