Did John's interview change your opinion of him?

It did for me. I think he explained things very well and I don't think he's particularly nasty or homophobic like I thought he was.

GiRTh 23-01-2018 08:38 PM

No he still talks too fast

AnnieK 23-01-2018 08:38 PM

He did come across well but he has had time to think about that too whilst in hiding. I hope he meant everything he said and he did come across sincerely

lewis111 23-01-2018 08:39 PM

I never disliked him for that comment that everyone blew out of proportion - I just wasn't really a fan of his character he seemed quite forceful
But he's fine idk

Amy Jade 23-01-2018 08:40 PM

I still think the way it was edited made him seem homophobic so I understand people being upset but glad he cleared it up too.

Still think he was a pretty poor housemate though sadly but a nice man none the less

smudgie 23-01-2018 08:40 PM

No, I always liked him.

Lilac hills 23-01-2018 08:40 PM

Producers fault really it came across as if he was speaking about himself they edited out most of the interaction

I haven't watched . But i will never change my opinion as John seemed down to earth ,honest and a nice guy :) . People were too quick to doubt him :hmph: .

MTVN 23-01-2018 08:41 PM

Hmm it came across well but I'm slightly sceptical of his explanation and wonder if he came up with that in the light of how badly it was perceived initially

Like I don't think it was the case that he was talking purely about 'society' in his chat with Shane, he did refer to his personal attitude a few times as well

Paula D 23-01-2018 08:42 PM

Nope, I knew all along that's exactly what happened because I'm a grown up.

It's not rocket science. If he had been in any way homophobic Shane J wouldn't say otherwise.

A bore nonetheless

joeysteele 23-01-2018 08:43 PM

I like him anyway.
I just feel he delivered little, that we saw anyway,as a housemate.

Jim Davidson was offensive to everybody . John actually get's on with everyone and is the polar opposite of Jim Davidson who referred to gays as "shirt lifters" on hells kitchen :bored: .

Jim was a fantastic housemate

Gusto Brunt 23-01-2018 08:52 PM

He should be still in there

He's vile .
So why give John a hard time for a mediocre comment when Jim Davidson has said horrible things and even made Brian Dowling cry . The mind baffles :bored: .

Crikey still hung up on Jim's Hells Kitchen appearance over ten years ago, not particularly relevant to this series of Big Brother I don't think

Interesting how you manage to have such strong opinions on a show you haven't watched for about a week

montblanc 23-01-2018 09:03 PM

when he said that comment i went off him but i still kind of liked him but his interview made me really like him again

jaxie 23-01-2018 09:22 PM

I think he came across well and it kind of shows how it's unfair to assume rather than knowing the whole context.

Jamie89 24-01-2018 07:58 PM

Yes, I thought he came across really well and personally I believed his explanation... he can be uncancelled  He still wasn't a very good housemate though so I don't mind about him being evicted.

y.winter 24-01-2018 08:02 PM

The "club" comment did seem a bit odd, so I'm glad he has made this clear. He was very passionate about setting the record straight, so I'm glad he did.

RileyH 24-01-2018 08:03 PM

I didn't believe it

No it’s the fault of those that believe what they want to believe and make judgements with little to no facts to go on. It happens on the time on here.
