Is snoring a valid reason for nomination?

We often see housemates nominated for snoring, think it was one of the reasons for Wayne last night, but is it fair to nominate someone for something that they can't really help doing and is an unconscious act? It'd be like nominating someone for sneezing. It's a bit of a cop out for the person nominating as well and let's them off the hook

No its not and according to G he was constantly washing up so Andrew's nomination of him not doing the washing was invalid as well

Nicky91 24-01-2018 08:44 AM

yes snoring can be annoying

He mentioned the washing up as well as it was played to G during his interview and he commented on it

Yeah I think so, sleep is pretty important in there I'd imagine

I don't know. Maybe he never saw him washing up?

No why?

smudgie 24-01-2018 10:40 AM

Yes.
It’s a valid enough reason for hubby and I to have separate bedrooms so it’s valid for noms.

rionablue 24-01-2018 10:41 AM

YES I would go MENTAL if I had to share a room with snorers so I would want them out

Livia 24-01-2018 10:42 AM

Ear plugs. It's the way forward... I can't stand any noise when I'm trying to sleep.

...I guess the validity comes from the affects of the snoring, which would be sleep disturbance and then general stress because of that deprivation, so I can see how it becomes ‘valid’ to a housemate even though it isn’t something someone can help doin very easily...then it’s up to BB to decide whether they’ll accept it or say, no....I can’t recall actually on any previous ones...if BB have rejected a nomination reason..has anyone ever then changed the person who they were going to nominate and choose someone else using a different reason...or have they always just still stuck with the same but had to think another reason...I think most have just said something else to still nominate that same person, which I guess would have happened here with this one as well...most probably...

ah damn, I would have watched if I'd known she was on, I can't tolerate Rylan for very long though

joeysteele 24-01-2018 11:26 AM

It would drive me crazy sleeping in a room where someone snored loudly.

However no,in my view it's not a valid reason to nominate anyone to be up for eviction.

Paula D 24-01-2018 11:38 AM

No, shouldn't be allowed. It's a cop out.

I think a poem can be done on snoring :conf: omg is it a reason for nominating ? do you no how vital sleep is ? and when you can not it plays with the mind.

great for the bb viewers but not so great for the house mates.

snorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrr

montblanc 24-01-2018 12:48 PM

yes because one time i was visiting my uncle's house for a week and we had to share the guest room with my other uncle who was also visiting and his snoring was RIDICULOUS so i think that can drive someone up the wall in the BB house

Lilac hills 24-01-2018 12:49 PM

why wouldn’t it be valid

GiRTh 24-01-2018 12:53 PM

No. It may be a real problem for a them. Its not a medical condition per se but sometimes people cant help their snoring.

Vicky. 24-01-2018 01:12 PM

I want to say no, but if I was in there and already sleep deprived and someone was sat doing elephant impressions all night I would be pretty pissed off and might nominate them for it. yes, they cannot help it but its still ****ing annoying.

I am fairly sure I would be nominated for sleep talking too. Something I cannot help either but I understand is annoying to anyone sleeping near me

Ashley. 24-01-2018 01:18 PM

I'd nominate someone for snoring. I can't stand it.
