Why are people automatically liked because they're trans or gay

Like India and Shane.

People like that who are on a 'journey '. And if you don't like them you're homophobic.

Austin Armacost

LukeB 28-01-2018 07:15 PM

India isn’t liked.

RichardG 28-01-2018 07:15 PM

I think the question is 'why do you automatically dislike them if they are'

chuff me dizzy 28-01-2018 07:16 PM

They are liked before they even go in ,and before anyones heard of them or seen what they are like ......same with Americans ,isn't it pathetic Gusto ? :joker:

Lilac hills 28-01-2018 07:16 PM

The very far left have a mob mentality with stuff like this now

Unless their name is India far

Exactly surely it should be how they are as a person.
If someone is irritating and a bitch then nothing changes that .

Garfie 28-01-2018 07:16 PM

I think many of the comments on the forum show that they are not automatically liked!

Gusto Brunt 28-01-2018 07:17 PM

No but these people were liked instantly because they were trans or gay.

It's only when they're found out they're disliked.

It's this automatic liking which is confusing.

People think we should like them if we dont we are some sort of backwards thinking people, well I dont like Wayne,Shane J or Courtney who is infact Shane why people pretend differently is funny, I dont like them as people not because of their sexuality

lewis111 28-01-2018 07:18 PM

If any group is more likely to be automatically liked by certain people it's women not LGBT people - most gay men aren't even that well liked before or after the series

Alf 28-01-2018 07:19 PM

It makes a person feel virtuous.

But in reality, it's quite insulting and goes directly against equality.

I don't believe this for a single second

Funny how no one else has had such a turn around isn't it

Marsh. 28-01-2018 07:20 PM

Ridiculous thread.

Obviously aimed at the Ann debate, which goes far beyond simply "not liking someone who happens to be gay".

Why do you need to ignore an argument and completely misrepresent a situation to pretend something doesn't exist?

It's ridiculous and it's pathetic.

A lot of these social justice movements don’t want equality, they want special treatment

We have to glorify everyone part of these communities and if u don’t ur an ignorant homophobe.

Gusto Brunt 28-01-2018 07:21 PM

Another way of putting it is that there is an immediate respect for someone based on their sexual preference or 'journey '.

Why?

chuff me dizzy 28-01-2018 07:21 PM

On here as we know people don't have their own opinions, they run with the gang whether they like a person or not and they wont go against them I'm so glad I pick my own favs

No. Those people were liked because they were well known before the show.

And on what planet is India liked by name people?

lewis111 28-01-2018 07:21 PM

To be fair, I do remember the people who dislike Shane J now liking him Week 1 (in particular Chuff and Kaz) because of how he spoke to India

OK Now I know you've got a selective memory because not one damn person on here 'liked' her :joker: (they might have wanted her to survive over Jonny because Jonny was incredibly boring, but that's not endorsing her personality)

Also: Perez Hilton, Austin Armacost, Kellie Maloney (CBB14), Kavana (CBB15), Andrew Cruikshanks (BB18), Lisa Wallace (BB10), Ryan Ruckledge (BB17), Aaron Frew (BB16), Sam Giffen (BB17), Raph Korine (BB18)... all examples of unpopular gay/transgender housemates.

The only (almost) universally-liked ones in recent years are Frankie Grande (CBB16) (and that was a very MILD support), Leslie Jordan (CBB14) and Andy West (BB17) (who I will happily tear to shreds for you right now)

Idk if you asked for a thorough debunking but here you go.

I am closing this thead as I do deem it to be baiting and unnecessary. If any other mod/admin disagree feel free to delete me and reopen :p
