truly addicted to the follow.
great debate monday morning
i am already persuaded
trying to recruit is work that's yawning
i no from being highgate village down graded.
using the mind is clever
its power sweeter then honey
the following list is on the never never
narcissus told me worthless is money.
going to grind
will make my bread with no crumble
the world watching so display is not blind
always so rude arrogant and not humble.
now with everyone recruited
control and poetry is not the stake
buying followers was wrong i saluted
because i now realize its all fake.

( great debate this monday morning on the best morning show ever ( wrightstuff ch5 ) got to go as got to make my money as i have spent my life savings on buying followers. this world is now all about my friend narcissis and we all need to stop and have a look at what he actually stands for. )

Well if you have to 'buy' followers that's a bit sad really, have to say first I had heard of it.

user104658 29-01-2018 09:47 AM

Acceptable? I guess so, I can't really see how it affects anyone except the person doing it, but it's a bit... sad...

smudgie 29-01-2018 09:53 AM

 just join a few of the Bingo sites, all free and people clamour to “friend” you.

It's a bit sad that's that how you want to spend your money but then it is your money there's nothin wrong with it, it's not affecting anyone

Whether it's right or wrong (it's wrong), how sad an individual do you have to be to buy friends on social media? Really... reeeeally sad.

One of the most pathetic things I've ever heard. Up there with actively asking people to like your status on Facebook

I spend my time trying to avoid friends. Bloody nuisances they are.

Tom4784 29-01-2018 02:11 PM

It's the definition of tragic.

A friend of mine who's a small youtuber bought 100 subs so she could get a custom url, but as far as I know she didn't do anything else like that once she got it going

I don't have problem with it, and I don't think it's necessarily sad. Thirty years ago I was making a living as a street musician. I always threw a silver dollar into my guitar case, right when I started. I felt it was good luck, and also, people get the hint!

But I look at this the same way. People might need to look like they have some friends, before other people think they're alright.

Now how about you? When you see someone with lots of "friends", do you think they must be popular, and you should agree with everything they say, or do you still read what they say critically?

I thought that the first Trump rally was full of paid audience members, but then look what happened. Some people are follow the leader types.

Hey, just stumbled upon this old post! The debate about buying fake followers still holds relevance. Authenticity always wins, right? By the way, if you're a musician, boosting your music on platforms like SoundCloud can be awesome. Those SoundCloud plays can really showcase your talent. Let's keep focusing on authenticity and meaningful interactions, even as the years go by!
