How would it look if a drag queen (a male dressing as a female) wins Year of the Woman?

What message will that send?

I think Shane J would make a great winner. He's kind, compassionate and entertaining. Doesn't matter that he's a man now, does it?

It would be a shame in some ways a great series ruined by a male winner, but hey ho, it won't ruin my life or anything

that said I have a long shot bet on Wayne at 66/1 so that would improve my life, so swings and roundabouts

voting for a "real" woman just because of the season theme sounds rather discriminatory to me.

The theme will still have been 'year of the woman', the winner doesn't change that (most winners don't represent their series imo). And tbh the theme doesn't really have much integrity anyway. They basically turned it into battle of the sexes rather than year of the woman, plus the first 3 evictees were women, I've enjoyed the series and everything but let's not pretend the theme was anything more than a stunt :laugh: It's BB, it shouldn't be looked as being anything meaningful.

And anyway Dapper Laughs could have won so it could have been worse!

But yeah, do people seriously want a woman to win just because of the theme? I find that odd. Was an interesting start to the series I agree, but if it had to be a woman winning, then why put in men anyway D: And whilst the first few days were really decent, the series would have flopped totally with no men, plus none the whole time would be pretty discriminatory anyway. I wonder how many will vote for a woman solely to have a woman winning. Theres still a LOT of men bitter on my facebook over the 'sexist' launch who reckon they will vote for anyone who possesses a Y chromosome just to stop a woman winning. equally as petty

people moaned when 3 women were evicted first, and the triple with 4 men was to even things up to keep the "theme" alive, so I think the "theme" was relevant depending on the occasion of course
