Is it possible to make a free website?

...Especially in case of nice quality and plesant design. And if it's a non-free, than how much it will cost considering that I don't need something too cool and complicated.
Share with your experience please.

What kind of website?

You'd be surprised what you can do with a wordpress blog. A lot of people use it as a basic website with the right template/layout... a surprising amount of people use open source CMS' for that sort of stuff now... I'm not sure how the wordpress.com stuff works if it allows you that much flexibility.

You can also get something like a droplet from DigitalOcean, it's $5/mo (USD) for VPS/SSD... the downside is you have to be kinda tech savvy to set up your website since it is an unmanaged server, but you can install wordpress on it and have all the flexilibility you need.

I run all my stuff through them and I also run a mail server/cloud server through one of my droplets.

If you want to just try to see if you can set it up, they charge by the hour I think... whichever it is, it's super cheap.

Obviously you'd need to buy a domain, but those are cheap as well. (i.e. Namecheap)

Another one I know of is Squarespace... but they are paid.

Wix is free but you have to allow adverts on your page unless you pay.

Someone has to pay for the space and for the bandwidth and that's going to be either through a subscription fee or allowing the host to put ads on your site. Is the short answer.

However, if you're willing to put up a LITTLE money, hosting (and your own .com) for a small site is pretty cheap.

I also agree that if you have no experience then WordPress is your best bet in terms of a CMS, just find a template that you like. Obviously if you want something more personalised you do need to get to know at least some html / css. That said... Most traffic is phones / tablets these days so your best option is usually just to go with a clean and simple mobile friendly template.

Definitely. There are loads of website builders out there where you can make a website without the need for code. I don't know how to code and I was able to acquire one. I used the hPage.com website builder for mine since I love the slideshow gallery and their extra features for the web pages.

Anyway, just type in "website builder" or "website creator" on the search bar and you will find a list of online software that will allow you to create a free website without the complicated technicalities of it.

Moonfruit used to allow a free website with upgrades available, you only have so much webspace but I find it ample for what I use it for and it has some good widgets etc,it may have changed now but a basic site is only £3.99 per month.
