Mariah, Whitney or Celine?
 

These three women are often regarded as the vocal trinity of the 90s...but who do you prefer?
P.S. My profile pic is not bias, I love all of them...
Anyway Mariah is the superior out of the three of them, she really experimented with different genres, and her catalouge is VERY diverse (Pop, R and B, Hip-Hop) mainly, but if you look closer she has ventured into lots of of other genres. I mean Whitney is also very experimental as well (R and B, Pop, Ballads), but Celine tends to stick to Adult Contemporary...

Though what separates her from the rest of the women is that she WRITES 90% of her material, the 10% is covers, while Whitney and Celine's catalouge are often written by songwriters...

They're all overrated.

Amy Lee, Taylor Momsen, and out of 90's singers Dolores O'Riordan (RIP) are all much better vocalists imo.

Out of the three I'd say that Mariah's voice is stronger.

Out of the three, Celine has managed to take care of her voice the best...
Mariah has mostly good vocal moments, but as a fan, I admit that she has bad moments, but her voice has been improving in the past year. Plus she has a new management, which also manages Jay-Z which is good compared to how crappy her previous team was...
All Mariah needs is rest.
Whitney unfortunatley ruined her voice due to drugs :(

None of them i hate all three with a vengeance. Torture music.

Celine would be my choice.
Followed by Mariah then Whitney.

None of those 3 really impress ne that much however.

Whitney,I can never get over her destruction of a beautiful song when sung by its writer Dolly Parton, namely 'I Will Always Love You '.

Mariahs vocal range was unmatched in her time and when she sang she used it so effortlessly

I find Celines voice a bit annoying actually

I like Celine, but her voice is too nasal at times, plus unlike the other two women, she never really stepped outside of her comfort zone (Adult Contemporary), or underwent huge image changes, such as what Mariah and Whitney did in the mid-late 90s. Though I applaud her for taking care of her voice, it's still the same shape it is today than twenty years ago...

Whitney has the best voice and even when she ruined it she still sounded better than some pop stars like mariah carey now,Britney,Madonna,Cheryl etc. Her music is amazing :love:
