Application adverts everywhere...

Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and posters apparently dotted around universities, etc....
This is a really good sign and might be an indication of why they’ve chosen the deadline they have (term dates I guess?)
Actually impressed. Same amount of promo for the actual series and then we’re talking

Jay. 09-02-2018 05:40 PM

unless they've had literally no one apply and they are getting desperate now?

BBUK-Fan 09-02-2018 05:42 PM

This promo is great, I believe this civilian series will be great

Ant. 09-02-2018 05:45 PM

I got an email off my college telling us all to apply

The amount Emma mentioned it and all the application adverts they did between breaks in the run up to the final, this is probably more likely

montblanc 09-02-2018 05:53 PM

hopefully this means they're looking for actual civilians instead of EOTB "celebrities" :clap1:

thisisdanny 09-02-2018 05:55 PM

I'll do it

Not really ideal for uni students though is it. Term time is September til June so the old summer dates would've been fine but these new dates of August onwards don't really fit into education schedules.

Hmm I never thought of September, sort of used to thinking it ends in July/Aug now so I didn’t think of that, good point.

c5's cost cutting measures to reduce the season to two weeks?

Big Brother: Year of the Uni Drop-Outs?

Maru 10-02-2018 12:47 AM

They should just put a bunch of college protesters in there. Easy controversy and cheap drama.

Eddie. 10-02-2018 02:10 AM

That's actually kind of good, them forcing people to actually audition than recruiting them...

That's doubtful as they've basically just cast from other reality shows/tabloids in the last few series!

Cal. 10-02-2018 09:34 AM

Not uni lecturers telling you to go on BB as a back up option if you fail your exams

Uni students will be in school they literally can't go into the house...it's either a cheap way of promoting the upcoming series so people see it's coming back or they are desperate for applicants.

The start date has supposedly been pushed back to July/August though, and first semesters usually start in September, so it would clash unfortunately.

A lot of unis start as late as October.

And we've had several people on the show who've pushed their studies back a term.

I find it mad how people are willing to risk their uni degree just to go on Big Brother

I know. Didn't someone drop out of their course altogether (I want to say BB16?) and weren't guaranteed a place to go back to when they were ready? :worry:
