Blurryface's Top Songs of 2018 (February Edition - THESE DAYS WINS)

http://i.imgur.com/N9LLHSX.jpg

Throughout 2018 I am going to be forming Top 10's of my favourite songs of that month. The Number 1 song of each month will advance to The Grand Finale towards the end of December whereby my Top 12 songs of the Year will be ranked from worst to best. To add some incentive for TiBB, the songs that I place #2 and #3 each month will go into a poll and TiBB will choose one 'Wildcard Song' to join my rankings.

The songs I include don't have to have been released that month, but I'm choosing them on the basis that I've heard them at least once this month and that they're still in the Top 40/100 of the Official Charts.

The last charts of February have been counted so it's time for the second part of 2018 to commence!

January's Top 3

February's Top 10
#10 - This is Me (The Greatest Showman Sountrack)
#9 - Breathe (Jax Jones ft. Ina Wrolsden)
#8 - Him & I (G-Eazy ft. Halsey)
#7 - I Know You (Craig David ft. Bastille)
#6 - IDGAF - Dua Lipa (DOWN 5)
#5 - Never Be the Same - Camila Cabello (DOWN 3)
#4 - For You - Rita Ora and Liam Payne (UP 1)

#3 - She Loves Control - Camila Cabello
#2 - Sick Boy (The Chainsmokers) (UP 7)
#1 - These Days (Rudimental ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen)

#10 - This is Me
The Greatest Showman Soundtrack
Released 1.11.18
NEW ENTRY

Gonna jump right in and say I've not yet watched The Greatest Showman and I'm probably not gonna for a while, but this song has been played (admittedly overplayed) on the radio recently but I actually kind of like it? Idk the message it gives is a good one and I get good gives from it. If it continues yes to be overplayed I'll probably hate it by next Monday th, so unfortunately this is probably the last you see of it in my charts!

Yes when you slept last night you transformed into sleeping beauty and have woken in 3018! I am Blurryface XVVI.

#9 - Breathe
Jax Jones ft. Ina Wrolsden
Released 14.12.17
NEW ENTRY

If anyone loves this song count yourselves lucky as it was nearly cut right at the last minute! When the first Feb Charts were delivered, this debuted at #2 but over the course it has slowly declined to #9 because it's just gotten a bit annoying.

#8 - Him & I
G-Eazy ft. Halsey
Released 14.12.17
NEW ENTRY

Ugh I first heard this song a few days ago and it's so good, Halsey's voice is so good on the track. Unfortunately I just haven't heard it enough to surpass the songs ahead of this, and because it's New I get that thing where I forget how it goes until I hear it again. That'll pass after a few more listens so for now it sits at #8 but I imagine it will rise next month.

Enough about me, let's talk about my amazing rankings :smug:

#7 - I Know You
Craig David ft. Bastille
Released 7.12.17
NEW ENTRY

My hatred of Craig David kept this out of the Top 10 in January, but I love the song and Bastille too much to let it miss out this month. I'll just have to get past Craig's annoying voice.

This list is cancelled for This is Me not being #1

Unfortunately I've had to move Dua down to #6 this week as I didn't want any of the last Top 3's staying there, and the songs above it have grown on me more than this throughout February. I still Livorno it though, but sorry Dua Stans!

It hurts me that this isn't higher this month as I do love it but I had to keep it out of the Top 3 as I said above and so here it is.

Ugh after seeing this live at The Brits from the comfort of my front room I was just so impressed. It's just a shame it's overplayed on the radio as it kept it from reaching the Top 3.

#3 - She Loves Control
Camila Cabello
Released 25.1.18
NEW ENTRY

BOP. BOP. BOP. Nothing else to say. As per usual this will be eligible to win the wildcard and join the Top 13 ranking after Christmas.

Morgan. 25-02-2018 03:55 PM

Top 2 coming later!

Hint ...
Spoiler:

One re-entry from last month and one new song with artists I typically dislike!

It grew on me this month and is criminally underplayed!

So who is the winner?

Morgan. 25-02-2018 04:35 PM

#1 - These Days
Rudimental ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen
Released 1.2.18
NEW ENTRY

Now I typically don't like the music of Rudeimental, Jess or Macklemore but when together with Dan (who I haven the heard of as of now) they made this amazingly song and I really do love it! This will join Dua Lipa's IDGAF in the Top 13 Ranking come Christmas.

Morgan. 25-02-2018 10:14 PM

Bumping for RileyH to tell me my #1 choice is terrible :joker:
