Endemol have apparently been approached...

Endemol have apparently been approached by numerous broadcasters and even NETFLIX about possibly airing Big Brother, as Endemol are coming up with plans if Channel 5 does go ahead and cancel! So maybe it's not all over, even if C5 pull it - @SuperTV247

The thing that would be annoying about Netflix is the amount of new fans it would reach not realising that BB1-BB19/CBB1-CBB22 exist presuming Channel 4 and Channel 5 both keep the rights to their series’ and don’t share them.

Cal. 28-02-2018 03:23 PM

Not here for Netflix era BB fan Twitter with a collage of ‘Big Brother legends’ just including 3 or 4 mediocre housemates from the first Netflix series!

Greg! 28-02-2018 03:29 PM

Slay me, netflix would do such a good job of BB and give them a bigger budget

Tom4784 28-02-2018 03:34 PM

Netflix would be great although I'm not how it would work in it's current format, I don't think Netflix has ever done live shows before or phone ins and such.

I'm guessing if it were to happen, they'd change the format to the US one where they wouldn't necessarily need live shows for it to work.

Was thinking This Myself

I guess all of the voting information would just be shared online on Twitter with very clear closing times. Wouldn't be too different in that regard, but not sure I'm keen on the idea of a catch-up only series.

What does OTT players mean btw

glibberglobber 28-02-2018 04:01 PM

Doesn't it mean over the top?

OTT stands for “over-the-top,” the term used for the delivery of film and TV content via the internet, without requiring users to subscribe to a traditional cable or satellite pay-TV service like a Comcast or Time Warner Cable.

I doubt it would remain a phone in if it was on Netflix or basically any other channel in fact. It’ll probably be a free app vote like Love Island. Even survival of ghe fittest has that and that gets like 300k viewers with a much bigger production budget than BB so I’m confused as to why BB needs to cut down?

Wizard. 28-02-2018 04:20 PM

Snatch ha!

Maru 28-02-2018 04:24 PM

Probably whoever would get BB wouldn't keep the same formula, as they still need to make it profitable again... but then again, if 24/hr livefeeds became a thing :flutter:

Marsh. 28-02-2018 04:36 PM

I don't believe this for a second.

Rob! 28-02-2018 04:51 PM

Netflix would be interesting. Potentially they could have a live feed just on there to click on at any time

lewis111 28-02-2018 04:58 PM

Netflix cancel Like everything so even if they did pick it up it would probably be for the one series

Funny. They were criticised for a time for cancelling nothing.

CiaraNelly2000 28-02-2018 06:10 PM

I would prefer it to stay on tv

Gstar 28-02-2018 09:49 PM

It would be nice for the show to remain on TV at least. I just hope whoever picks it up introduces more live feed

Marsh. 28-02-2018 10:06 PM

They've probably fed this bulls*t to the media themselves in the hope that some broadcasters will go "Oooh, there's interest/demand for BB? Should we give it a go?"

Eddie. 28-02-2018 10:08 PM

I would rather have it stay at the telly because I am not willing to fork out my money for Netflix...

Ugh imagine "A NETFLIX ORIGINAL" playing before big brother
The intros would be 2 minutes long
