'TV Presenter' Nicola McLean argues Soap Storylines have gone too far.

Just as a side note, what was the last thing, or even first for that matter, Nicola McLean presented?

This bitch will do do ANYTHING for an appearance fee. Nicola McLean discussing suitable television? Really?

If I were (for a moment) to take her "concerns" seriously...

I'd tell her to actually parent her child. Soaps have always had adult themes, unsuitable for 7 year olds. You can control what a 7 year old watches on TV.

That said. Kids are mollycoddled far too much and I was watching (and enjoying) the Saskia Duncan murder storyline in EastEnders when I was 9 so... :hmph: Kids can deal with more mature things better than bloody some grown ups.

The real McLean doesn't stay hidden for long. :idc:

Personally I wouldn’t take much notice of anything she has to say!

Tbh when I watched Richard Hillman batter Emily and Maxine with a crowbar when I was 10 it scared the **** out of me.

TV presenter ? The only thing she'll ever be is a 'Nicola' presenter picking up a few quid for a few moments on various tv shows.

Presenter 'my arse' she always spouts rubbish .

Not a harrowing resurgence

I loved when Queen Oates told ha that Corrie wasn't designed for 7 year olds. :clap1:

Educate ha!

reece(: 18-03-2018 11:23 PM

Ms Oates scalped Garraway

Who are we to argue with TV presenting royalty

Kazanne 18-03-2018 11:26 PM

Who died and made her mother Tereasa ? If she is worried about her kids being badly influenced she better sweep her own doorstep before she starts trying to tell others what they should do.

Marsh. 18-03-2018 11:29 PM

Every time Kate Oates spoke I kept expecting to hear Nicola shouting "Vile" in the background or "Don't you come to her!" when she started on Kate Garraway.

I really can't abide the woman but for once I agree with her. Coronation is horridly morbid and miserable these days and totally lost it's humour. The David Platt rape storyline made me feel really uncomfortable and I switched off. So soon after the paedophile storyline too that was depressing. Bring back Corrie of old I say.

Wow if Nicola thinks this then I guess it’s time for soaps to go

do you like storylines of people being abused or murdered?

Maru 19-03-2018 10:43 PM

I miss when entertainment used to be entertaining

Not the point really. Nicola's whole argument was about it being inappropriate for her 7 year old. Simple answer: Her 7 year old shouldn't be watching anyway. Soaps have told murder and abuse plots for decades. Time for her and all those like her to take responsibility for what they watch on television, and not expect television to parent their children for them.
