London : Woman critical after being 'hit by falling bricks'

From ITV1 London
they are saying its thought the Fella operating
the High up crane may have clipped the netting
on the Scaffolding.
And a Wooden pallet full of bricks
fell onto this Lady.

Criminal.

Unfortunately accidents happen. We had a scaffolding collapse in town some months back I think... and one of the people my grandmother did caretaking for, he had a bad back from a crane accident at the Ship Channel... needless to say, financially, he was set for life... hopefully she is OK though

They are all saying she is critical
Sharp Bricks can be deadly, sadly.

That's terrible, poor woman. I would never walk under a working building site as I would be paranoid of something like this happening

Very Wise Cherie

The worker operating the crane
appears to have clip the scaffolding
then the netting broke - all those sharp bricks
fell fast
He must be Fired.

She was walking home from the school run

Yeah... our highways have overpasses (think highways with humps) and I live near a major high way reconstruction. I very rarely cross under them right now and just use side roads to access everything... and no, I don't walk near scaffolding in Downtown, where that is always the case. It's not worth the sinus headache or the potential risk...

So sad to hear this lady has passed... was hoping she'd be fine. Accidents do happen. And more frequently than most people generally think...
