A Quiet Place
It's gotten a rave reception so far and it's out next week. I think I might go see it tbh. |
Saw it yesterday in a secret screening and it's brilliant. Best horror of 2018 and I can't see it being beaten unless Hereditary or Halloween are stunning.
Emily Blunt should get an oscar nod to be honest. |
Looks amazing and scary.
|
I genuinely thought you made a safe space thread, and I was excited for the ironic drama in all honesty.
|
Film looks good, I love **** like that.
|
The reviews for this are amazing

Tbf with, thought this thread upon first looking at it referred to the state of this forum...
|
I want to see it but I sort of don't have anyone to go with?

I mean look how many average Drama Films about a man and a woman that fall in love that get nominated every year. |
Also, wouldn’t really call it a horror, much more of a thriller

I was going to see Alien: Covenant on my own but I'm glad I didn't as it was pretty crap when I watched it at home. |

Get Out, IT and the Babadook have done a lot to revitalise the genre beyond the 'throw a bunch of pretty faces in front of the camera and throw gore at them' approach. Those drama films get nominated because they are well made, well crafted pieces of cinema for the most part. Saw Part 53 simply doesn't cut it. |
