A screamer from John Arne Riise.

Legend 23-05-2007 04:58 PM

I couldn't care less just as long as it's for Liverpool.

Exciting eh? Where you all watching it?

GiRTh 23-05-2007 05:00 PM

I almost said went for that but forget to put it lol, imagine the odds you could have got on that happening.

Liverpool team:

Reina

Finnan Carragher Agger Riise

Pennant Alonso Mascherano Zenden

Gerrard

Kuyt

Subs:Dudek,Hyypia,Arbeloa,Kewell,Gonzalez,Bellamy and Crouch.

BigSister 23-05-2007 06:53 PM

lol well crouch isnt going to score first unless its 2nd half

and i know my mum said put abet on it but i dindt want to

Dan_ 23-05-2007 08:41 PM

That was NEVER 3 minutes added time.

Mark 23-05-2007 09:06 PM

Yeah what was up with that :puzzled:

Milan even had a sub in those 2.15 minutes! I saw Benitez run straight at the ref after the match pointing to his watch.

Little disappointing

I can only put it down to human error but it is not a mistake that should have been made.

Fairly ironic that Liverpool were the better side tonight but yet did not win after only playing well for a short spell in the last final and winning.

The liverpool defence really did lose concentration at times in the 2nd half though, the winning goal was fairly typical of that, all of them focusing on the threat of Kaka but lost sight of Inzaghi.Shame really.

James 23-05-2007 09:19 PM

It 2 mins 43 secs of added-on time. Should of been about 3:30 with the sub.

Liverpool didn't create enough chances in the second half, only about 2 shots on target including Gerrard's good chance.

Mark 23-05-2007 09:32 PM

I thought Zenden played particulary badly, I was wanting Kewel on way earlier for him. I think Crouch should have also come on at half time, as it was really clear Liverpool were exploiting the wings (especially with Pennant) and what they needed was a run down the line, and a cross into Crouch.

Oh well

Dan_ 23-05-2007 09:43 PM

I really don't understand why Zenden is still with Liverpool to be honest, he can do a steady job in central midfield but he's not got the pace or skill to be a left winger at the top level, his crossing was poor even when he got the chance to put it in.

The one thing that troubled Milan was pace and that should have been exploited to a greater degree, perhaps even using Bellamy would have tested them more.

GiRTh 24-05-2007 09:22 AM

Why did Zenden play instead of Kewell or Gonzalez.

I'm quite happy Milan won. I'm an Arsenal fan and I can remember a load of Liverpool fans saying that they didn't want us to win last year, so to hell with them.
