Do you have good judgement of character?

Do you always end up being friends with people who disappoint you or behave unexpectedly toxic or do you generally realise when to cut people off if they are unsavoury?

I feel like I am generally good at judging what kind of person is after a short conversation, especially by looking at their eyes, for some reason I can get a feeling if the person is worth making an effort for. :joker:

No I'm awful at first impression judging, I've liked people who turned out to be assholes and disliked ones who turned out to be lovely :worry: Gav is really good at it though

I think most people think they are good but in my experience most people are pretty hopeless

just look at how many neighbours say on TV "well he was a nice quiet man who kept himself to himself, very polite" when they dig up 22 decomposing prossies from his patio

my mum is the best at it

oh and mediums and confidence tricksters always use that as a line of flattery to draw you in

"i see you are a good judge of character"

I try not to judge anyone when I first meet them and form an opinion over time as they may just be having an off day etc but that's kinda impossible but I'm pretty awful overall at judging people when I first meet them and I always get them wrong so I try and give everyone a chance to prove me wrong

Sometimes and sometimes not I can't imagine anyone goes through life without being let down at some point by a friend or family member

Not Victoria's evil eyes

Thing is, as you are growing up you just end up with people, like your family and friends from when you didn't know any better. Once I realised I could be picky about who I considered family and chose my friends with the intention of long lasting friendships then I think I've had a good streak.

I usually see the good in someone when I meet them.

:hmph: my neighbours would say I am a quiet polite man who keeps himself to himself and often can be seen in B&Q buying Quicklime

Yes. But then overall I don't see it as a special gift of being able to judge people's true characters, I just think actual arseholes have very little ability to cover up the fact they are an abhorrent piece of sh*t and give themselves away fairly quickly.

The second someone tells you that "you seem like a good judge of character..." you should be IMMEDIATELY suspicious of their character and what they want from you :suspect:.
