DO you trust doctors?

Every time I go to the doctors I feel a bit fobbed off and I have read loads of stories where GP's misdiagnose things which turn out to be more serious and which if found earlier would be easier treat.

I swear I never see the same GP twice and it takes me like 2 weeks to book an appointment

Literally. You only get an appt at mine if you phone at 8am but you see the locum (the good doctors come in like once a month by which time they're already fully booked). I managed to phone in two weeks ago and have an appt with a good gp tomorrow and even though I know he probably won't give the answer I'm looking for I don't want to waste the opportunity.

Yes my doctor is great, I rarely go to the doctors though.

the last time i went was 2002

I had a really nice young lady last time I went but my doctor the time before that was horrendous. She literally laughed in my face for something that took me a lot of courage to go and see her about.

Well these are the benefits of having to pay to see your GO I guess 🤣

LaLaLand 12-04-2018 04:53 PM

My GP's ite.

But in general no after they lied to us and basically euthanized my Grandad over a week in front of our eyes without our permission while claiming he was sedated for a bad water infection. Hard to trust after that.

Withano 12-04-2018 04:55 PM

Its my top irrational phobia and I dont really understand why

Vicky. 12-04-2018 05:07 PM

No. I would be utterly stupid to trust them given my experiences. They have given me a disability for life, ffs.

Josy 17-04-2018 09:20 AM

My doctors already has the nhs version of google open and the prescription printed out before you sit down [emoji23][emoji23]

Our surgery has went right downhill since all the older doctors left and now its different locums each day.

smudgie 17-04-2018 01:59 PM

In general yes.
They keep me going:shrug:

Ant. 17-04-2018 05:21 PM
