UK branded home of binge drinking

from metro

Britons were once known the world over for our decency, good manners, reserve and morality.

But now the country is 'fameobsessed' and plagued by 'vandalism and binge drinking'.

We also eat more junk food than the rest of Europe combined and are devouring Internet porn at the fastest rate on Earth, according to the travellers' bible the Lonely Planet.

The latest version of the controversial guide, released, said: 'It is a telling indictment of British culture that more people vote in TV talent shows than for their country's leaders.'

Britons also love news of famous people 'even though their celebrity status is based on little more than the ability to sing a jolly tune, look good in tight trousers or kick a ball in the right direction'.

On the culinary front, the guide said: 'Without doubt you can find great food in Britain. It's just that not all the Brits seem to like eating it.'

Also, 'vandalism and nuisance behaviour caused by binge-drinking remain serious problems'.

But there are some things Britain's 24million tourists per year can look forward to.

London 'has a buzz unlike any other European city', Birmingham is 'vibrant' and Cardiff is the 'epitome of cool'.

I am quoting from it, or can't you see that? I would say that the comment applies to this forum in a lot of ways.
