Confirmation of no disabled housemate this year?

http://bbimages.digitalspy.co.uk/bb8...8_bathroom.jpg

As you can see, the white door with the blue 'door handle' on it is the door from the stairs into the house-it is definately not wheelchair friendly, as it looks like you have to almost step through the hole. Either way, it seems as proof that there will not be a disabled housemate this year, as widely rumoured.

rororo06 23-05-2007 05:00 PM

i hope not! they would just get the sympethy vote and win!

Ruth*Star 23-05-2007 05:01 PM

I don't think thats a door, wheres the handle to open it.

kassa 23-05-2007 05:12 PM

yer blue thing = door
white thing = rasied material
small blue thing = door handle

but i agree, it would be impossible, think of all those steps to come down, the physicly demanding tasks (for example the stand on box task) the swiming pool, the diary room.

Matt0307 23-05-2007 05:18 PM

It's definitely a door - look at the green light above it showing that it is unlocked

Billy 23-05-2007 05:20 PM

not bein nasty, but if they were to put a disabled person inthen they would win hands down. They could be the most boring person ever, but theyd stillk win.

GiGi 23-05-2007 05:21 PM

there is another door beside it, just plain white, its not the diary room what is it! probably to the bedroom.

Matt0307 23-05-2007 05:22 PM

Ye looking at the plan it must be the door to the bedroom

Sammeth 23-05-2007 05:49 PM

The white and blue bits on that door are just decoration. You can see the outline of the door, I have cirlced them in red, and they will be so obvious when you look at the picture. It would open as a normal door would, the white bit doesnt open up like a hole.

the_chosen_one 23-05-2007 06:04 PM

Yeah i think the blue bit opens with the white bit, and i heard theres a lift this year.

Matt 23-05-2007 06:08 PM

It's a full size door:

Oops, sorry shade, I presume you've already posted a picture, but it's not loading for me...

bean_of_sb 23-05-2007 06:11 PM

the whole thing is the door. They don't walk through the circle thingy. The bedroom's to the left, you can see it in the picture

does anyone know what these red stripe things might be?

thebeanboy23 23-05-2007 06:37 PM

Thats the bedroom in the reflection cooler!

and tht white thing with a blue handle is the door but the WHOLE blue thing is the door. this isnt all ment to be curved either because it is shown on a circle shaped lense.
there is no step to get INTO the main house but then there is a stair case to get down. They may do something with that (a lift) of something which is what that grey rectangle may be!

Hmm, we'll just have to wait and see ...

kassa 23-05-2007 06:55 PM

grrr

as much as it would be nice, it's (no offence) hardly practical

it would be impossible, think of all those steps to come down, the physicly demanding tasks (for example the stand on box task) the swiming pool, the diary room.

thebeanboy23 23-05-2007 06:57 PM

yes but kassa the diary room is all flat....but i see what u mean about the other things !

Yes bb807 - we will have to wait and see.... =]

kassa 23-05-2007 07:16 PM

it's not so much getting in to the diary room

it's sitting on the chair

think about it

going in to the diary room and NOT sitting on the chair

then theirs the monoverbility in such a small room and corridor

dupin 23-05-2007 07:39 PM

Ah, well even if they could get through the door, the ramps (ei to the kitchen) are not big enough for turning...there are always ramps for furniture to be moved there, and the same rumours always happen...

Dan_ 23-05-2007 08:57 PM

Perhaps it could be a sliding door?

Michael 23-05-2007 08:58 PM

there culd be another house, another toilet

Amy21 23-05-2007 09:05 PM

I think if a disabled person went in they wouldnt get the sympathey vote. Everyone would get treated fairly. I dont think that is the front door you know as it doesnt look like the place where the front door is usually is. We will just have to wait and see. It would be good if Big Brother did allow a disabled person in the house as they havent done it before and it would be wrong if they discriminated a disabled person just because they was in a wheelchair. So I hope they do bring a disabled person in the house and prove Big Brother treats all people regardless of their disability.

dupin 23-05-2007 09:07 PM

Well it's discrimination to put someone in the house if they're in a wheelchair if they don't have the qualities of a good housemate. I'm sure when disabled people apply, the producers look past the chair and if the personality is not what they're looking for they won't put them in, which is what has happened in the past I'm sure.
