People don\'t know how to report u2us! Help?

After practically recieving death threats of a member I wasn't sure how to deal with it and I don't think others do either.
I think there needs to be more ways of dealing with u2us!

LargeAndInCharge 28-05-2007 09:06 PM

what sick twat is doing this. idiot.

tell who it is on here and then they should be banned

Red Moon 28-05-2007 09:13 PM

If you have a problem with u2u messages you need to send/forward the u2u James, Kas or Mark.

If they are not on you can pass the u2u to a moderator and we can put it in admin and warn the person which will ban them until a member of admin can deal with it.

On the subject of U2Us eyeonu, stop sending me weird u2us for no reason!

I didn't send you a weird u2u, the only one I can think of is one from earlier which was a mistake!

LargeAndInCharge 28-05-2007 09:23 PM

leave it chris

u always jump to conclusions

he recieved death threats which are worse than weird ones

nodisharmony 28-05-2007 09:28 PM

I had a funny u2u as well once, eyeonu:nono:

But in regards to your problem, sometimes a disagreement on a thread can lead to, one u2u being sent, which leads to another u2u being received, which leads to another u2u being sent and then, at the very end, you get the nastiest one of all (at the very end)

Sometimes, you need to work backwards and see what caused it all in the first place.

I think its horrible that a member is getting death threats on a big brother forum, sounds horrible to have that happen to you.

Red Moon 28-05-2007 09:34 PM

Have you contacted one of the administrators now eyeonu?

It is the best thing to do if you are receiving nasty u2u's.

LargeAndInCharge 28-05-2007 09:38 PM

it was bb5eve

Red Moon 28-05-2007 09:49 PM

Okay so this is the thread that was on the site a few days ago. It's not today?

Ruth*Star 28-05-2007 09:50 PM

It was not today, it was deleted by a mod, don't remember which mod though.

Chrizzle 28-05-2007 10:07 PM

Just bare in mind eyeonu said 'practically' giving death threats, when all I remember the u2u he showed saying was '**** off*-

Unless its a new u2u

I think that we have misunderstood what forum member "eyeonu" is actually saying.

He is saying that on the 19.5.2007 at 3:05pm he received a death threat from the-now banned member "BB5EVE"

He is saying now, that:- he thinks there needs to be more ways of dealing with u2u's!

Which is saying to the mods & admins, that there should be instructions available to all members, just in case it happens to either himself or anyone else in the future.

I think that is what he is saying??

It didn't say **** off, it said I'm gonna hunt you down and kill you'' or something and she said it for no reason, I didn't even start an argument with her, the reason I u2ued her the first place was to ask her why she'd been rude on the forum. That's what automatically led to her threatening me.

Anyway that's not the issue, I just used it as an example.

Not being funny here but everyone knows to report insults in threads to Amdin and Mods so why would they not know they should do this if something happened via U2U. We have NEVER been asked this before!

Eyeonu - any problems you might have please, please contact one of us rather than opening threads, or discussing it to death with other members first, we want to help all the members here and if it is brought to our attention straight away we can act quickly to resolve issues that might be brewing.

eyeonu 28-05-2007 10:19 PM

OK:thumbs: If it's obviouse then fine

And the answer is what I said here:

Without rewriting bits of the code that run the board it isn't possible to do better than that at the moment.

Sorry
