Looks like it could be decently watchable, it's Ryan Murphy so you know the first season will be good at least.

Shaun 18-03-2019 05:42 PM

This starts airing on BBC2 on Thursday, shall definitely give it a watch

Toy Soldier 19-03-2019 10:41 AM

Well WAS IT decently watchable Dezzy? I feel like this thread was left on a cliffhanger.

LeatherTrumpet 21-03-2019 08:36 PM

I turned over

TomC 01-04-2019 11:01 PM

I started watching this tonight! Seems promising.

TomC 02-04-2019 09:25 PM

2 episodes in and loving this so much. The characters are ADORABLE. And it's so nice to see some visibility for such an important part of LGBT+ history.

TomC 02-04-2019 09:26 PM

also the male cast are literally all gorge

Headie 10-04-2019 01:26 PM

A quarter of the way through this and I love it so much already!

LaLaLand 11-04-2019 01:05 AM

Okay I'm really getting into this now.

LaLaLand 11-04-2019 01:17 AM

If you like this series you should watch the documentary movie "Paris is Burning" (1990) which is basically what this is based on.
Quote:

Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it. Some critics consider the film to be an invaluable documentary of the end of the "Golden Age" of New York City drag balls, and a thoughtful exploration of race, class, gender, and sexuality in America.
It's on YouTube and is pretty legendary:

Couldn't sleep so watched the last two episodes, amazing. Perfect finish. Very heartwarming.

I'd recommend this to everyone it's just brilliant, has everything. Dramatic, genuinely funny, flamboyant, emotional, extremely heart-wrenching at times and most importantly, extremely thought-provoking. Incredible cast too.

They need to release a soundtrack too because my God the music alone in this series has been awesome!

Season 2 has been confirmed btw.

LaLaLand 12-04-2019 10:37 PM

There's a Spotify playlist if you search for "Pose" that has probably the whole soundtrack of the series - SO good!

LaLaLand 08-09-2019 06:49 PM

Anyone watched Season 2 yet?

MB. 08-09-2019 07:58 PM

I've been meaning to for a while now - I've only watched the Never Knew Love Like This Before scene and I reckon, emotionally speaking, that it was enough for me for another year or two

I'm binging on iPlayer and literally came here to say that Ep 4 has broke me. SO unbelievably sad and raw. Heartbreaking - I bawled my eyes out a few times. Amazing ending [the lip-syncing] though. :bawling::bawling:

Finished watching S2 - loved it. Very intrigued to see where S3 is going to go now...

So much change going on...

Spoiler:

1. Angel & Papi's business venture, engagement and [hopefully, I presume] their wedding next season.
2. Is Damon going to be in S3 at all? Seemed pretty final to me that he's now leading a house in Paris and a "famous" dancer/choreographer.
3. The return/revenge or actually even "reformation" of Frederica? [Amazing character]
4. I want more Nurse Judy OUTSIDE of the hospital and involvement with Act Up.
5. Who's going to be the first AIDS-related death of the main crew? Blanca, Ricky or Pray? Or are more going to test positive maybe?
6. I want more Lulu in general - a backstory would be nice too. She's kind of the most "outsider" main cast member so more focus on her would be good. She's a funny character.
7. Blanca's new "kids" from the closing scenes - Quincy and Chilly - are they the new focus for the upcoming season?
8. Blanca's new love interest, the lifeguard - will that develop and what impact will her health have on it?

SO many possibilities!

i watched this as well during lockdown. brilliant show, went a bit off at the start of S2 however the last few episodes of S2 saved it.

season 3 was aimed to air during the summer but production stopped in march because of miss rona :( apparently they were halfway done.
