Asia stop putting Plastic Trash on Islands - Are you Fecking STUPID?

All these Plastics Pilled Near
are in Asia.

Sure some of it is UK Plastics that was sold or bought by them.
But no one said stick it on a Fecking Island? To Blow Away?

Its on Every News channel

Today debated on ITV1HD lunchtime news.
Also SkyNewsHD has their Ocean Docu's every week
and BBC had the Blue Planet.
All showing fish full of Plastics - that we could end up eating.

The army should build a Temp Wall around any Pilled up Plastics.

India has Very Rich Folks
they can stop the Plastics entering the Sea.

China will use their Army
to Stop it.

I cant understand why people are so bloody lazy arista,it takes nothing to put your waste in a bin, also some plastics we use is not needed at all,so why use them ?This planet can only take so much ,if we all took responsibility for our waste and use of plastic we would leave a better world for our kids, that picture is heartbreaking ,poor wild life and poor planet ,we all need to be more thoughtful imo.

Yes Folks are Lazy at our beaches
That Could Change FAST - Bring in a £200 INSTANT FINE.
or get arrested.

But on this debate I am sick of Asia nations
dumping Loads of the Plastics raw on islands ?
That must STOP>

reece(: 29-05-2018 01:54 PM

I've studied all about this at uni, companies are allowed to export their wastes abroad for low costs, to countries with poor policy and legislation where this sort of illegal dumping can happen

It's not discussed enough

Maru 29-05-2018 01:59 PM

That's a lot of dumping... I wouldn't want to swim there. I recycle my plastics, even when I buy a bottle of soda when I'm out... I keep my car clean and compartments in door empty for guests and also so I can put in my bottles, etc so I can throw in recycle bin when I get home... it's so wasteful to throw it in with normal trash, much less dump onto a beach... but we do have dumping issues here sometimes with people tossing used furniture into sewer ditches on the side of the road... and then people are surprised when their property floods because they don't keep their neighborhood ditches free & clear of debris.

Yes because those Islands
in Asia are not the UK 's Problem,
now.
We have Brexit etc.

India is Very Guilty

China has now Told the UK
no more Plastic Imports.
That has meant a China factory that used it in new products
has now closed.

That's unfortunate, arista.

Yes
Sign Of The Times.

reece:
Yes Cheap Exports of our Plastics
but those Companies
were not told it was going to be Dumped raw on a Asia Island.

As you are Studying the Feck UP, reece
can you tell us that Men will no longer have Sperm
that will make a baby
due to these tiny plastics in the Food and WATER.

There's a lot of ocean accumulation and dumping as well, so this just adds to the strain

Instead of just reporting on it, I'd like to see relief efforts to cleanup these areas and improve policy in these countries... imagine if this continues for another 100 years? It's a scary thought

Scarlett. 29-05-2018 02:14 PM

I read Asia as Asda... was confused about why they'd have a trash island.

Yes reece, but you must know it has to be a LAW
that starts the change.
CNN HD also have Top reports from the Ice Caps
but official observers - will soon loose funding

Easy Done
Chewy

arista 29-05-2018 02:31 PM

Yesterday On CNN HD Africa Money Report
it showed a Sandy beach in South Africa
with local workers holding up Massive Metal grills
to remove the tiny bits of plastic in their fantastic looking beach.

Tragic.

They need to do ads on this mess:

Thousands of 'unflushable' wet wipes found on one stretch of the Thames shore
More must be done to press home the message about the damage that can be done by flushing the wipes, a charity says.

Sad News:

[Whale dies after swallowing 80 plastic bags off southern Thailand
The small male pilot whale vomited up five bags and was unable to eat food after being found barely alive in a canal.]

We (general we) use far too much plastic anyway tbh. Stuff like shifting milk bottles to plastic seem pretty nonsensical to me? I was actually talking about this with my husband a few days ago after being given some silly paper straw at Wetherspoons. Its amazing how reliant on plastics we are when there are actually pretty decent alternatives. But..paper straws are silly. Within like 2 mins of it being in my drink it had turned to mush. Fair enough, stop giving out straws, but this paper straw thing it pretty silly

I was just reading we have this problem as well with some waste management companies... but we do process more internally. A lot does get wasted if the person doing the recycling doesn't follow their guidelines, which is very common and is one reason why China will reject... can mean that particular load is rejected. So do your reading and find out actually can be recycled... surprisingly, washed Starbucks cups etc, cannot be recycled. A lot of other things though can pass that you would not expect either... (like paper with minor food crumbs/oils, etc)

Yes that's got to change fast
there are now some new machines that can take that
that Cup and convert
the inner plastic into new products.

Only a few are in the UK.
So Far.

Confession: I live on a T-junction corner, and the recycling truck comes down my street then carries on straight, before circling back on itself and then going up the other way at the junction. Today they didn't take my recycling bin and left a tag on it saying that it contained the wrong / contaminated items...

... I waited until it was out of sight, stuffed some "clean" recycling from the kitchen on the top so that the top layer was good (they only ever glance), then ran round the corner with it and left it at a house that didn't have one out. When the truck circled back round, they emptied it :umm2:...

...

...

The trash mountain is my fault :(

I read that David Attenborough's Blue Planet 2 was so popular in China, it slowed down the Internet. Pressure groups like we know them aren't allowed in China, but people are getting together there to try to address the problem of plastic in the ocean. Young people in particular had a great reaction to the TV show, which is really positive and heartening.

That's so sad,I hate that we are responsible for deaths like this,as they can easily be avoided ,if only we weren't so thoughtless and lazy.

Yes that's a bad beach, reece
in need of Massive People help.
